A computer program has targeted mankind for extermination.
In the late 20th century, Cyberdyne Systems develops Skynet, a computer-based military defense system. Shortly after it is placed in control of all the United States' Military weaponry, Skynet becomes self-aware, greatly alarming its creators who then attempt to pull the plug on the whole program. Skynet, in self-defense, launches all of the United States' nuclear weapons at their preset targets, knowing those targets would retaliate. In the end, 3 billion people died. Now only small pockets of humanity remain; the only resistance against Skynet, and humanity's only hope for the survival of our species.
Skynet eventually discovers the identity of the leader of the human resistance; a man named, John Connor.
The Terminator (1984): Saturday, May 12, 1984 Los Angeles, CA
Sarah Connor, a waitress living in California is targeted for termination by Skynet. To accomplish this task, Skynet sends back from the future, a lone-terminator, Cyberdyne Systems T-800 Series Model 101. This machine immediately starts assassinating all Sarah Connor's listed in the phone book, until eventually tracking down it's primary target. However, what Skynet did not count on was the human resistance sending back one of their own to protect Sarah; a soldier named, Kyle Reese.
In the very brief time they spend together, Kyle professes his feelings for Sarah (upper left) and they make love, conceiving who will eventually become, John Connor, the very same person responsible for sending Kyle back through time in the first place. In the end Kyle dies defending Sarah from the terminator by placing a bomb in the endoskeleton of the machine (upper right), badly damaging it and killing himself in the process. Sarah Connor manages to lure the half-in-tact terminator through a hydraulic-press (below), crushing it and ending the nightmare... for now.
Following these events, Cyberdyne Systems retrieves the undamaged pieces of the endoskeleton and begins the reverse-engineering process, thus creating the basis for what would later become, Skynet.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991):
1995 Los Angeles, CA
11 years have passed since the nightmare of May 12 & 13, 1984. Sarah Connor is now a patient of the Pescadero State Hospital for the Criminally Insane after a failed attempt to destroy a computer factory. Her experiences up to this point have turned the once soft and innocent Sarah Connor into a rough and tough, full-fledged soldier of the human resistance.
John Connor, born February 28, 1985, is now 10 years old and living under the foster care of Todd and Janelle Voight. Considering his chaotic upbringing, it's no surprise that he has grown up to become quite rebellious, possessing a criminal record for trespassing, shoplifting, disturbing the peace and vandalism. Along with his criminal record, John is also a very skilled computer hacker, easily ripping off ATM machines at will.
During the brief time he spent with his mother, she trained him in every way she possibly could to prepare him for what will inevitably become his destiny - to ultimately lead the human resistance to victory against the machines. Despite her best efforts though, John does not believe a word about the machines or his supposed destiny and chalks it all up to his mother being a paranoid, delusional psychopath. Little do either of them know that the future that she tried to prepare him for and which he adamantly denies is about to become a reality, once again...

EPISODE ONE (10): SAMSON & DELILAH Original Airdate: 9/08/08 scene one
Season two opens with Cameron emerging from the jeep explosion at the close from season one. Her right cheek is torn open exposing her endoskeleton underneath as well as having a piece of twisted metal embedded in the back of hear skull. The shard has caused significant damage to her cpu causing her chip to revert back to it's original programming. John Connor being her sole target and reason for being must now be terminated.
Meanwhile as the Connor's are attempting to race out the door and see what is happening outside, Sarah is stopped dead in her tracks by one of Sarkissian's thugs. Both he and Sarkissian enter the home, guns drawn and attempt to kill the Connor's and retrieve their computer hardware. As Sarkissian is attempting to kill Sarah, John manages to release himself from his bonds and kills Sarkissian by breaking his neck. Downstairs, Cameron has knocked Sarkissian's man unconscious. As he fell, he dropped a zippo lighter near kerosene that had spilled while Cameron was throwing him around. The house begins to break out into flames very close to a huge gas tank. As Cameron climbs the stairs, she finds the Connor's upstairs both free of their bonds and Sarkissian's body dead on the floor. Scanning the scene, Cameron's internal hub displays John Connor as a target for termination. she raises her gun to fire as the gas tank on the floor below explodes sending her flying backyards, causing her to miss her target. The Connor's hesitate as Cameron's hand can be seen grasping the top of the staircase. Seeing this, John and Sarah immediately jump out the window to escape.
scene two
Across the city, we find Cromartie and agent Ellison face-to-face. Cromartie has a gun drawn on Ellison, in the same scene we'd seen in the season one closer. Cromartie decides to not terminate Ellison and walks away dropping his weapons as he leaves. Charlie Dixon has just arrived on the scene as has a near run-in with Cromartie as Cromartie is leaving. Shortly after, the police, ambulances, the local fire department and the F.B.I. have now arrived on the scene. They pull George Laslo's body from his apartment and Agent Ellison realizing that he can't tell the real truth places the blame for the 30 dead F.B.I. agents on Laslo. Ellison apologizes to Laslo's body and places the white sheet back over his face.
