Watch
3 episodes of Derek duking it out with a T-888, getting his ass kicked. BUT, he'd be the Derek we've all come to love, nose to the grindstone, all effort, goal oriented - .... heart, than what transpired with the Riley saga. Seriously, I understand the writer's time constraints, the plot has picked up exponentially, and we're on an epic collision course now. But, honestly, who here did not LOVE BAG as Derek? At this point in the series, I saw him as one of the main characters.
I could've done less with rebellious Riley and John, and at least 2 or 3 minutes of Derek giving it his all - in a losing effort - like the soldier he was. Remember, and I quote him, "I'm not John Connor." But he was still the badass we've come to love over one season's worth of episodes. This is NOT a Derek RIP thread. I just feel almost - cheated. That character deserved a much more respectful death than that - a death reminiscent and reflecting on the magnitude of character he displayed on screen. Rant, rave, applaud, criticize, demean, take this post as you so please. I'm sure the season finale is going to be phenomenal. I hope, when S3 hits, they're more careful with planning like this.
Is anyone else perturbed by what transpired? Next week has me riveting, but... ugh... do you guys feel the same way? And what else, up to this point, could have made S2 flow better?
My two cents...
