"I question the logic here. If Sarah used the butt of her pistol to hit Cam, shouldn't it have been more of a cracking noise rather than a slapping noise? Wouldn't it have left a bruise on Cam?

Even if Sarah did use her bare hand, how would she have hurt it? It would still be flesh on flesh. I can understand the question if she had slapped bare metal or bare bone for that matter.

If people are asking this question, I don't believe they're understanding...

Did Sarah hit Cameron with a gun or anything else? I may have missed this when I stepped out of the room during the show for a few moments.

Sarah whacks Cameron with her right hand, with which she is carrying a silver gun. It's not clearly obvious but you can see a flash of silver from the gun in Sarah's hand when she strikes Cam, and immediately afterwards Cam is sporting a nice new gash on her face. I've tried to get a screen shot of the strike but it's just too fast and is just a blur.

Actually I didn't pick this up when I originally watched the show, but it was pointed out on this wiki.
