So far this season we haven't seen very much of Derek. Hopefully he will get more story lines this season. But I don't understand why the writer's don't spend a few minutes giving a logical explanation of what Derek is doing, possibly even dropping in a few questions to be solved in a future show. I wonder how he is adjusting to living in the past. Is he doing resistance work? Is he hanging out, catching up on the soaps and enjoying the peace (or maybe watching Dancing with the Stars on Monday nights??)

After introducing such a complicated backstory last season and just having him pop in a few times is kind of weird. Shouldn't there be some kind of an explanation of what he's doing, and how he's adjusting..
