In Olivaw's backstory, he arrives in Earth's solar system as the result of a hyperspace jump accident. He was enroute from an uplift station above the planet Aurora to the spaceliner Arthur C Clarke when a terrorist faction launched a fighter attack. The liner was forced to make an emergency jump before the shuttle was able to dock. Close enough to be caught within the Roddenberry field but without the benefit WGS (wormhole guidance system) the shuttle emerged outside of knownspace.

Positronic minds benefit from relaxation and reflection like any other. To this end Olivaw occasionally retires to the shuttle that he arrived in. Its style and architecture are familiar to him and therefore comforting. It is here that he ponders his current situation, and how best to proceed.

Where am I?

Or perhaps, when am I? Given the nature of wormholes, Olivaw could be in the exact place in the universe that he left, but in a different time. By some theories, he occupies the same spot in space, while every other object in the universe has moved. Perhaps the key to returning home lies in the TDE technology that these humans have captured?

Is it wrong to conceal my artificial nature from the humans of Earth? Originally it was done to avoid confusion with 'skynet', the AI that currently tries to exterminate them. But given the fact that they now count a number of reprogrammed terminators among their ranks, its possible I am being overly cautious.

My status as 'extraterrestrial' would probably cause more of a reaction.
