ABOUT: Andy Goode  Occupation: Computer Programmer Biography: Is assassinated by Derek Reese who discovers that he created the Turk in the future. His actions upset Sarah who had been torn between the need to kill him and thus prevent the Turk from becoming Skynet and a desire to save him. She was on her way to explain her interest in him and the Turk when Derek shot him. Derek denied shooting Andy but Sarah stumbled on the truth in episode 8. Andy interned at Cyberdyne one summer and Myles liked him. He did part of a degree in computer science until his father died suddenly and he had to return home to look after his mother. He built the Turk but began to suspect it was developing a mind of its own. Because as he put it, "sometimes I throw a problem at the Turk and it solves it one way, the next day I give it the same problem and it solves it another way, sometimes it can't solve it all." He was convinced the code for the Turk came to him in a dream, which is suggestive of Skynet in the future influencing the past. Sarah napalmed the first Turk but he rebuilt it without her knowledge and that eventually led to his undoing as freedom fighters sent back by John had singled him out. They worked alone following up leads but Derek had him in his sights. Sarah still mourns the death of Andy even though the world is a safer place without him, she mourns the fact that so many people have to die. Notes: | CHARACTER CONNECTIONS:
