If you make Banners or if you need one this is the place to be.

Brief Explanation of a Banner: Usually a composite photo using multiple layers to be
used in a signature or header. Although composites are often used it is not unusual for
the banner to simply be a cropped photo with added text.This gallery focuses on banners
dedicated to the Fox TV series - Terminator:The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

To use an banner:

1. Right click your mouse over the banner.
2. Click "save image as" to download the image.
3. Upload banner to the website of your choice.
4. If the creator of your banner requests credit please give credit.
Note: Signatures almost always allow for credit, however headers look much better
without credit given, so if you are looking for banners for the top of your web page it
might be wise to choose those where credit is not requested.

To make a banner you can use Photoshop, Gimp, or any other graphic imaging software.


Gimp is freeware. It can be downloaded at http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.html.
I believe that this is the latest version but it changes frequently so you might want
to check to see if a newer version is available.

These programs are also useful in creating banners with added text, overlays and all
manner of special effects.

For Submission of banners:

1. Don't exceed 400 x 500 pixels and 500k when uploading a banner.If your banner is
larger than 400 X 500 it will be resized. That is the requested limit of this website.
(Tip: my on rule of thumb is 400 X 225 because the screenshots are that height and you
don't have to crop the picture. Cuts out a few steps.)
2. Due to the maximum size possibly being used please put you banners on a seperate page(using the add page in the banner gallery) and link back to this page to provide access to your banners. How you format your page to display your banners is up to you.
Please do not edit someones elses personal page. If you have issue with something on their page pease contact them and allow them to do their own editing.
3. In your link and on your page let those who view your banners know who you are.
Example: Banners by (your name here).
4. Specify in your link and on your page if you want credit for your banner when it is used.

If you want to use a banner for a header without credit given, you can always contact
your banners creator and ask for permission to use it anyway. Otherwise feel free to
choose from any of the other banners where the creator doesn't ask for credit.

Anyone can contribute. You don't have be an artist. If you've never done banners before
start simple - a photo with added text and as you get used to your software and what it
can do you'll learn how to do other things with layers and special effects. It's mostly
trial and error -- finding out what works for you. You can even create several
different banners out of the same basic banner by using different text.
