Well there are some thought about the turtle symbolized. but put it simple... the turtle is Cameron's chip. That Cromartie is not Cromartie, he is John Henry.
Sarah has super power... psychical power... lol

Maybe I'm just being a perv here (say so if you think that's the case) - but did anyone else pick up an unspoken "If I can feel the cool air blowing on my pretty, healthy bare feet - then doesn't that make you curious as to what and where else I can feel pleasant sensations? Wouldn't you like to help me find out?" vibe from Cameron to John during that conversation?
Unfortunately, John yet again seemed oblivious to the fact that his pet femmebot was giving him the come-on.

I am a big fan of the show, but I wonder if mankind can actually survive/overcome a real life scenario where skynet/terminators take over. As a human, I'd like to think we are clever and resilient enough to defend ourselves, but we're pretty fragile organic creatures that need food (where would we grow the food?) and can succumb to biological/chemical/nuclear agents.

Thank God the writers on this show are more sophisticated than most of the fans! They've displayed more subtlety & understanding than even John Cameron himself with his silly "humanizing" of the Arnold terminator in T-2. Except for the glaring slip-up in the classroom scene of Episode 1, they've avoided the cliches that plague so much SF in film & television. Summer Glau demonstrates enormous talent in implementing their conception so flawlessly.
Cameron (the terminator) can't "feel" human emotions now or ever! She lacks the necessary neurochemical mechanisms. To speculate that she may "learn" to love John or anything like that is just silly. What she can do is learn to reproduce the behavior associated with various emotional states. For example, she can learn to imitate a woman in love & make her portrayal so accurate & convincing that no one can tell the difference. Assuming that her model is anatomically complete, she can make love with John & counterfeit every aspect, including orgasm. Indeed, it's likely that no human woman could match her in bed or otherwise. The relevant question is: would this be genuinely satisfying for a partner (like John) who knows what she is & what she's doing? (In other words can she pass a kind of "emotional" Turing's test.) To their credit the writers have left this question hanging in the air between John & Cameron from the beginning of the series. There's no doubt that a relationship exists between them in the future & that it's quite meaningful; but its exact nature is unclear. Cameron takes off her jacket & lies down beside John in her see-through top, because she knows that he responds to her sexually. Sarah knows it too and doesn't like it! What about John himself? It's not obvious (at least to me!) I look forward to seeing where the writers take this important plot line!

Quote from Jesse on the preview for next episode, who was she talking about, I hope it's Catherine Weaver, I noticed they showed Cameron briefly when she said that, I dont know about you guys but if it turns out Cameron is the real badguy now I will be really upset, after all t his and Cam's job was maybe not to kill Connor but ensure judgement day somehow (which i doubt seriously) or Jesse could be lying to Derek about Cameron if she was talking about her, Thoughts on this?

The previews to the next episode have a part where Jessie says "We need to stop her, I'm here to save him".
Is the her = Cameron and the him = John ? Obviously Derek isn't too fond of Cameron, but even still will he work together with Jessie to destroy Cameron?

I found the watchmaker motif interesting and think that perhaps it signifies a larger role fro Charlie Fischer. I don't think it was an accident that he stated that as his occupation or that he had the tattoo of the watch face with no hands. If it means what Derek says it means then it is very interesting that there is one in the Connors' house, too. Look closely above the staircase, you will see a smaller, functioning clock and next to it a larger clock with no hands. They have been there for several episodes, but weren't there when they moved in. It could perhaps signify that the Connors are also serving a life sentence
http://terminatorwiki.fox.com/album/66939/Clock+with+no+Hands/photo/2896056/Clock+with+No+Hands+1 Watchmaker is a term referring to a divine creator. You can think of the universe as the watch. It comes from a 17th century argument of natural theology and is still used as an argument in favour of creationism/ID.

Okay - I think I figured part of it out.
Dr. Sherman IS the one-two point in this game of GO between the Connors and SkyNet. Whichever team manages to control Dr. Sherman will have a huge strategic advantage in the battle for the future. He can be instrumental in helping (or impeding) Weaver's efforts to build upon the Turk, helping the Connors overcome their psychological impediments, or both. I think this is why the proverb "Strange Things Happen at the one-two point" comes into play. Unbeknownst to other side, both SkyNet (via Weaver) and the Connors are both utilizing Dr. Sherman to their own advantage, and neither realizes it....yet. The first side to understand the strategic importance of Dr. Sherman to the other will be well on its determining the outcome of the match. This explains why both the Resistance and SkyNet have identified Dr. Sherman as critical to the future. SkyNet sent the pretzel terminator to take over as Boyd Sherman’s assistant, and General Connor sent a resistance fighter back to alert the Connors that Dr. Sherman is the one-two point; hence the significance of the symbol beside his name on the wall. There might be some additional symbolism behind the 3 dots, but I think this is one of them.

Seriously, how many mistakes can this guy make?
Choosing Riley in general, trusting Ellison, going to Mexico without a peep, ditching Cameron, running away from Cromartie like a doofus on the pier, getting caught in a truck with no weapons, letting Riley almost get killed, CONTINUING to be with Riley and risking everyone including her, dissing and growling at Cameron, snarking with his mom who is doing her darndest, always bringing up the rear in a fight, NOT questioning Cameron on her behavior and what she's said, etc. etc. etc. etc. Are the writers TRYING HARD to make us not like this guy? I don't know about you, but it seems to be working! He's bugging the FRICKIN' HELL out of me! John's becoming more and more like the whiny, sniveling, little worm we saw in Terminator [gag] 3 [spits up blood] and I don't like it. I enjoyed and was starting to empathize with the Episode One John Connor and even cried along with him when he saw his dad in the park. Now, I want to wring his neck or take a 2x4 to his head and scream "WAKE THE F--K UP, MORON!!" He was a spunky, smartass, smart, resourceful, and kind/considerate, loving kid in Terminator 2 that you could see becoming THE John Connor men would die for. This John Connor is swiftly becoming a pain in the ass. A serious re-write is in order. Writers, defend yourselves!

Regarding the relationship between John and Cameron , which keeps to fascinate me,well, I think the writers should let them get close, they should do it like a Blade Runner style; because what Cameron really is, is more of an android/humanoid, because in her there are two characters; one is her and, the other is the program embedded in her which makes her a slave to skynet which she seems to fighting back for the time being....in the episode "Alison from Palmdale", when she speaks to the Alison, she says that not all machines want the war, some also want peace; these "some" in my opinion are the new generation of terminators, who infact are these new androids, the closest thing to humans, and it seems that they would keep evolving finally becoming humans. But what if Cameron was so special, that maybe, she might have less metel in her, in the real sense of the word, than we think? Would that mean she could even give birth? And if she did give birth to John's child, would that mean that humans and machines will join to create a new species?
Let me know what you think if the story evolved this way.

Seems to me there are Serious psychological problems in the connor household. 1. Sarah's hallucinating/dreaming, seeing dead terminators, turtles, and metal cacti. 2. Derick's mind may very well have been altered/futzed with/ reprogrammed, Or hes from a difforant time line. then jesse, or hes just a nut. 3. Cameron has emotional problems, lies for no reason, and may or may not want to put Johns head on a stick. Seems that John (AKA BooHoo for me,AKA why cant i have a normal life?) Connor may be the only "sane" person around. Scary Sh!t.

This has been buggering me since Jessie showed up. How come nobody has questioned or wondered where Derek has been lately, besides Cameron? He doesn't live with the Connors anymore and seems to have his own agenda, where he's the boss. I mean sure he still cares about John, and fighting Skynet but besides that he's off doing his own gig. Weird how nobody in the Connor house wonders where Derek has been or what he's up to.

I'm not sure why I didn't make a thread about this earlier, and I'm sure I'm not the only one, but I definitely lol'd during the scene where Derek calls Cameron on her cell, doesn't use the number code to let her know it's really him, and she hangs up on him, forcing him to call back and use the number code.
Derek: "It's me, Derek." Cameron: "Is it?" *hangs up* LOL. That is all. :P

On one of the other threads someone mentioned that Skynet kills those that it has no use for and then it hit me....
Once the humans are extinct, the next targets in Skynet's crosshairs will be it's own Terminators. Maybe it has plans for remote control drones or something. The Cyberdyne Skynet set off JD as a self preservation move, it almost made sense. The Turk, otoh, "got scared." It was moody and temperamental, and apparently hyper-paranoid. The humans are the greatest threat, followed by it's own sentient warriors. That's why there's a renegade faction of trip8's(and possibly Weaver). That's why Cameron needed to infiltrate John's camp, and why it seems less likely all the time that she was ever reprogrammed. You wouldn't need to reprogram any of the "metal" if they realized that their days were just as numbered as the humans. In fact, they would show the resistance how to capture and reprogram others to swell the ranks(and would explain why sometimes they go bad). That's why the "metal" just all of a sudden started working with the resistance, and the word was spread that they were reprogrammed, a lie, so that the troops would be comfortable enough to go along with it. Cameron is just now startng to experiment with empathy, meaning she didn't have any back then. Her motive for seeking out JC was self-preservation.

I know he said that it was his reward for helping skynet, but wouldn't be easier/safer for skynet to just kill him after his services were no longer required? He could pose a security risk if captured or has a change of heart.
