The Aerodome Raid

Mission Summary:

The mission started as planned; Incapacitating the airbase would involve leaking aircraft-grade fuel and igniting it and rescuing the prisoners would involve gaining entry amidst the resulting confusion. With extreme precision, Honorary Member Mathilda used her rifle to puncture fuel containers and tankers from a distance. She ignited the fuel with an incendiary round. We assigned her as the suppressive gunner to provide covering fire during our entry and exit. Incendiary grenades were used in the entrance to mask our heat signatures. Four C4 charges were placed near the entrance to collapse the entryway and allow for a clean escape.

Upon entering certain sections of the Aerodome, I noticed that the computer technologies present (i.e. terminals, workstations, etc.) were providing much more computing power and were much greater in quantity than stated in preliminary intelligence reports. I speculated that the base was not being powered exclusively by external sources, and that there was a local power source somewhere inside.

This presented a problem: If we were to collapse the building without first destroying the power source, it may still have been salvaged and given enough time, transferred to another Skynet Facility.

We had a strict mission execution deadline (disregarding the fact that we all left to eat, sleep, or get to class IRL), so in order to maintain our schedule, we split up. Corporal TerminatorSccLvr was given what was originally my task, which is to move with the team and lay down explosive charges in key locations on the way to the prison area. I separated from the group and proceeded to place C4 and TNT charges on the first floor and in the basement, where I suspected the local power source was located.

What we originally thought was an aerial HK Airbase and Hangar turned out to be a factory and advanced research facility for Skynet technologies. I laid down explosives in an attempt to damage as many production lines and prototype storage areas as possible, however I could not deviate too far from primary mission to destroy the load bearing structures. I am certain that a substantial number of Terminator components survived the ordeal. In the basement, I found a sever farm and the aforementioned local power source. As I approached the computer terminal, I noticed that schematics were recently transferred to other facilities, however I did manage to retrieve some of the information (see: 'Acquired Schematics'). I used the last of my explosives to destroy the basement support structures and equipment. I then made my way to the roof where I could make my exit.
