Synopsis
John Connor continues to reflect on the incidents of the last 2 days. There were too many questions and too few answers. Why was he vulnerable to Cameron’s desperate exhortation that she loved him and that he loved her too?

John Connor
Could she love me? No, she can’t. She’s a machine. It’s a machine. What an exquisite program her chip must be. She is the scariest terminator yet. She is able to assess vulnerabilities and improvise. Her emotions seemed so real, they made me hesitate. It was just enough time for her to kill me if she had the opportunity. And yet, my instincts were correct. She had managed to repair herself, or maybe the truck Mom slammed into her jolted something back into place. In either case, my reprogramming held. Crap! This is so crazy. My future reprogramming of a yet-to-be-created time-travelling cybernetic organism held.

But was she right about me? Do I love her? Why would I risk everything to save her? Why did I hesitate, even for a moment? Why would I even believe her? She had just tried to kill me. I pointed a gun at my uncle, my mom…my family. I chose her over my own family. Am I nuts? I feel so fucked up. Why would I send her back? I must have had a good reason.

Okay. I have to think clearly. I have to assume that I sent her back not only to protect us, but also so that I could observe the most human terminator model ever. I must have sent her back to expose my own weaknesses before they become liabilities to the Resistance. Right now, girls are my kryptonite.

I need a life.
