This week in “Self Made Man”, we’ve learned that Cameron likes to spend a quiet evening at the library researching of all things… weapons! Then, when she’s not conducting her research she also hunts down the stray terminator who get lost in time. And to top it all off, she still manages to get the laundry done. (Do you think I can borrow Cameron for the evening? I’ve got a boat load of laundry to do today and I really don’t want to spend my evening doing the laundry! Pretty please?) As usual, with a new episode of TSCC, we have a new batch of bloggerific reviews: i09likes when TSCC engages in weird digressions:  “Top ho! It’s a 1920s Terminator speakeasy party, with flappers doing the Charleston and some positively ripping cocktails. I’ve been excited for the killing-machine-meets-Valentino episode of Sarah Connor Chronicles since I read some pages from the script, and it was just as mold-breaking as I’d hoped. I’m beginning to think this show’s at its best when it’s doing a weird digression, rather than trying to push the overall plot forward…” IGNthinks the show is inventive and creative: “…but the fact that this show went down this road is more proof it’s far more inventive and creative than one would believe given the dismal state of its ratings. We’re probably going to move all of the screencaps into their own gallery and sometime after the season is over we’ll see about moving the entire gallery to a new hosting site…AGAIN - doing so takes hours, and hours, and hours which I don’t feel like putting aside right now, nor do I have the financial resources to do this. Until that time other than this post any and all HQ photos will be posted exclusively in our forums. I will upload reduced sized HQ photos in the gallery but most likely nothing larger than 2000×2000 pixels. Also any batches of photos that are more than 20-30 images will be available in the forums. I have some more photos that I have to upload but will get to them on the weekend and will make a few large posts then. Until then JadeLeopard capped MR. FERGUSON IS ILL TODAY for us - as stated above, they’re not loaded in the gallery and are currently only available to download as a ZIP file. | JESSE INTERVIEW OVER TERMINATOR: SCC AND HER CHARACTER
Q&A: Terminator's Jacobsen
Fox's Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles continues to expand the mythology of both the present and future fight against Skynet, adding a new character played by Australian actress Stephanie Jacobsen, who is best known to SF fans for playing Kendra Shaw in SCI FI Channel's Battlestar Galactica: Razor.
In Terminator, Jacobsen plays Jesse, another freedom fighter from the post-apocalyptic future who has come back to present-day Los Angeles, though her motives remain mysterious.
Jesse is the former flame of Derek Reese (Brian Austin Green), and their hot and heavy reunion also revealed that Derek contemplated suicide in the future. Jesse was the one who talked him down, though her return to the present might not exactly be authorized by John Connor. At least Derek got some. He needed it.
Fox connected SCI FI Wire with Jacobsen by phone the morning of Oct. 31, just before she headed to brunch and Halloween costume shopping with a girlfriend. The following is an edited version of the interview. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
What can you tell us we'll learn about Jesse on tonight's episode, "Brothers of Nablus"?
Jacobsen: OK, well, basically I think that the main thing you'll see about Jesse is the side of her that differentiates her from Derek. That is that, irrespective of the fact that she is of course focused and she has obviously come back from the past with a mission, you'll see, I guess, a hedonistic streak in her, a desire to revel for whatever time she's able to in the luxuries of this pre-apocalyptic time.
So she is enjoying present-day luxuries?
Jacobsen: You'll see a minute of that. Yes, definitely.

Jesse (Stephanie Jacobson, L), a blast from Derek's (Brian Austin Green) past, reconnects with him.
What are Jesse's indulgences?
Jacobsen: Oh, look, I mean, she's a soldier, and I guess that she would always have that disciplined nature, so you're not going to see her start dancing on tables or anything. But there's a scene in Monday's episode where you'll get a glimpse of maybe what she would be up to if circumstances were not as they are.
How long will she keep her motives ambiguous before we find out what she's really up to?
Jacobsen: Well, I still haven't found out for sure one way or the other, so I'd say that it'll be a while before that all becomes clear.
Since the show just got picked up for a full season of 22 episodes, has your role been extended?
Jacobsen: It is. Obviously, when I signed on, we weren't sure about the back nine yet, so, yeah, I'm going to be around for a little bit longer.
What did you know about Jesse going in?
Jacobsen: Not a lot. Not very much at all. The decision for her to be Australian, I think, was something that came about spontaneously during the audition. I think that it was a choice that was made to accent the global scope of the apocalypse. So I guess what it's meant to point towards is that after the robots came and took over, it was kind of the whole world rallying against them.

Have you gotten to work with Lena Headey ("Sarah Connor") or Thomas Dekker ("John Connor") yet?
Jacobsen: I haven't as yet, no. Most of my stuff has been obviously with Derek.
Do you think she'll join the Connors eventually?
Jacobsen: There's a possibility of that. Even if I could say, I wouldn't be able to, because I don't know. I'm sorry. I'm not deliberately being vague with you. I'm kind of going on a script-by-script basis. I think, also, for us working on the show, not knowing too much in advance keeps it fresh and keeps it crisp and keeps it spontaneous.
Will she get hot with Derek again?
Jacobsen: Oh, I'd say so. They're kind of like that, Jesse and Derek, so I'd imagine that you will. There is actually a correlation there when you view the romantic relationship between Jesse and Derek as a physical one and just bear in mind that they are both very, very physical, passionate people.
What have you imagined her life in the future to be like?
Jacobsen: Well, tough, obviously. Her future experience, what she was doing in the future, is a little bit different, and, as I've said before, you will learn a bit more of it in forthcoming episodes. So I guess the best way to answer that question is to say that it will be answered for you within the next few weeks. You'll get to see, I guess, what being part of this post-apocalyptic fight has done to Jesse psychologically, and maybe even the potential for what it can do to people in general. You'll see exactly how much animosity and how committed she is to opposing Skynet. -–Fred Topel |

| Cromartie Goes Down in a Blaze of Glory Edition
 Last night was the episode that we’ve all been waiting month’s to see. Josh Friedman tortured teased us endlessly with the news that a character portrayed by one of the actors seated at the Comic-Con panel would die this season. As I suspected my favorite villain, Cromartie, fought his final battle with the Connors last night and was on the receiving end of a hail of bullets. Can I say that it was a totally awesome episode that I’ve already watched several times. In case you missed “Mr. Ferguson is Ill Today” (which I know you didn’t) you can catch the episode on Hulu or Fox-on-Demand.
A few days ago the Writer’s Blog informed us that immediately following the east coast airing of “Mr. Ferguson is Ill Today” that the doomed actor/actress would participate in a live chat on the SCC wiki. As promised, Garrett Dillahunt, Josh Friedman and Dan Thompson (writer), logged on to the wiki and chatted with the fans. Just in case you live on the west coast like yours truly and couldn’t participate in the chat without spoiling the entire episode you can read the transcript HERE at the wiki.

Some loved it and some were so –so about the episode. Now, I may personally disagree with the latter but like I said last week, they’re entitled to their opinion.
In addition to the reviews, TV by the Numbers gives us the low-down on the overnight ratings. Let’s face it. There is much room for improvement. We have a full season and new night, now the rest is up to us. Let’s not wait until February to get the ratings up, start now! Don’t forget to remind your friends, family, co-workers or anybody else you know to watch next week’s new episode. In addition, don’t forget to purchase the episodes on Amazon and iTunes.
Anywho, one of the nice results of yesterday’s online chat session, was interesting tid-bits from Josh Friedman and gang.

Garrett Dillahunt: The writers won’t let us discuss the rest of the season, but I think it’s safe to say you haven’t seen the last of me.
Garret, Who’d win in a fight between Cromartie and Cameron?
Garrett Dillahunt: Cameron. Although I do think I’d have a chance because she’s just too weak and too small. And she’d be distracted by my good looks.
The TV Addict: Will the second season end on a cliffhanger or in a manner in which fans will be satisifed should the show not get picked up for a third season?
Josh Friedman: How about the show moving to Fridays? Who knows… I’m happy to be with Joss Whedon and now we’ll see how fervent our fans are…Which is to say… will you stay home?

| FOX Announces Midseason Plans; T:SCC Moves To Fridays In February FOX has announced their plans for midseason and their new schedule will see Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles airing on Fridays at 8PM, right before Joss Whedon's Dollhouse. The new timeslot will begin on February 13, 2009. In the meantime, of course, you can continue to catch new episodes of T:SCC on Monday nights at 8, although other programs will be taking over in January. |

I created a new section where I’ve moved all of the photos that relate to the different photo-shoots that are associated w/ the magazines. | FOX PICKS UP TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES FOR A FULL SEASON!  Mom! Cam! They like us, they really like us!
In a somewhat surprising move, Fox has picked up “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” for a full season. The network has ordered the back nine episodes of the show’s second season from Warner Bros., sources say. The sci-fi series has garnered a relatively modest rating on Monday nights this fall. Its most recent episode was seen by 5.7 million viewers, with a 2.3 adults 18-49 rating and a 6 share, tying NBC’s “Chuck” in the 8 p.m. time period. Will get some clarity on this on Monday, but there’s a few reasons why Fox might have moved forward with an order. The network recently ordered two scripts of the show, so perhaps the stories came in strong. Midseason sci-fi drama “Dollhouse” might be another factor — Fox’s previously announced winter schedule pairs “Dollhouse” and “24″ on Mondays and “American Idol” and “Fringe” on Tuesdays, without “Terminator” listed. So perhaps the network has a new scheduling configuration in mind to support its sci-fi efforts. Yet another potential factor is that “Dollhouse” has had some creative struggles. Sources say the newer scripts are stronger than the first batch, but if there’s any chance of the show being delayed Fox might have decided to keep “Terminator” in the mix. One of the most likely reasons for a pickup, however, is simply that Fox executives like this show. They feel it is creatively strong. The network’s overall viewership levels jet up after the first of the year powered by “American Idol.” They likely believe the series has a chance to improve. Some good TSCC news for this fine Tuesday after not getting a new episode last night, the TSCC website on Fox is the #3 most visited website for all of the shows on ALL of the different networks! We can only hope that a large part of that traffic that TSCC gets is people hitting the site to watch full episodes. The fact that we’re only slightly behind HEROES, which offers tons of extra online content and includes the most active HEROES fan forums on the web is pretty staggering. Way to go guys! Keep hitting over there and catching your episodes on the web!

FOX Orders Two More Sarah Connor Chronicles Episodes

Well, it’s not FOX ordering the rest of Season 2 of The Sarah Connor Chronicles like we had hoped, but it is something — at least for those of us looking for a silver lining in what is quickly looking like very dark times for the Connor brood. According to the official Sarah Connor Chronicles blog, the producers have been given the greenlight by the network to pen two more episodes past Episode 13, the last TSCC episode we would have gotten if FOX declined to order the rest of this season. Now let me stress that FOX has just asked for scripts for two more episodes, and as far as I can tell, this doesn’t mean the producers have been given the greenlight to actually put the scripts into production. Of course I could be wrong, but this is my understanding from the blog entry below.

Because so many of you, our most devoted fans, have been asking, we wanted to set the record straight!
While the fate of the show past production on episode thirteen is still unclear, FOX has given us the go-ahead to write two more additional episodes for this season — fourteen and fifteen.
We are hard at work writing those episodes and await news of a potential pickup for the full “back nine” (additional episodes to complete the season) in the near future. We’re crossing our fingers (and dotting our i’s) that we’ll have more good news to share with you soon…
In the meantime, keep tuning in! Get your friends interested! And thanks for all of your support.
So there you go. Two more episodes are currently being written past Episode 13. I guess that’s sort of good news, considering that there hasn’t been a whole lot of good news lately. Take it for what you will, boys and girls.
P.S. For those tuning in tonight for the latest TSCC episode — there won’t be one. The show has been bumped for the MLB Playoffs, and will return next week. |

| No Episode Tonight... Because of baseball playoffs, there will be no new episode off Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles tonight (October 13). Look for the show to return on October 20 with an all-new episode! | Cancellation Update Despite having lower ratings than last season, the producers of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles have revealed in their official blog that FOX has commissioned two more scripts for Season Two, which, if produced, could bring the total number of episodes to 15. If you want Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles to continue and succeed, PLEASE encourage your friends to watch - especially if they have Nielsen ratings boxes. Unfortunately it doesn't matter so much if a show is good or not; instead, the viewing numbers are what ultimately matter. So show your friends the last few episodes, which have all been fantastic... send them to sites like this one to read more.. and spread the word! (And hey, FOX - why not give the show a try on another night? Or, this spring, give it a post-American Idol slot to get interest up? Many fans are suggesting Wednesdays at 9, which would be great. | | Season 2 Premiere Ratings: Could Be Better, But Still ImpressiveThe Sept. 8 season premiere of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles did fairly well although it was down from last year's season premiere ratings. Part of this could be due to stiffer competition. The show did, however, win the Adults 18-49 demographic, and it doubled the ratings for Gossip Girl which is classified to be a "hit," so, you do the math. Another Monday has come and gone and another great episode has come and gone. This week in “Self Made Man”, we’ve learned that Cameron likes to spend a quiet evening at the library researching of all things… weapons! Then, when she’s not conducting her research she also hunts down the stray terminator who get lost in time. And to top it all off, she still manages to get the laundry done. (Do you think I can borrow Cameron for the evening? I’ve got a boat load of laundry to do today and I really don’t want to spend my evening doing the laundry! Pretty please?)
“Top ho! It’s a 1920s Terminator speakeasy party, with flappers doing the Charleston and some positively ripping cocktails. I’ve been excited for the killing-machine-meets-Valentino episode of Sarah Connor Chronicles since I read some pages from the script, and it was just as mold-breaking as I’d hoped. I’m beginning to think this show’s at its best when it’s doing a weird digression, rather than trying to push the overall plot forward…”
