 | Latest Update! (June 18, 2008) TerminatorSite has learned that the third episode of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles Season Two is called "Goodbye To All That." Roles being cast are Tran, Marty, a Senior Cadet, Bedell, Marty's Mom, General Hobbes, Pyle, and a Terminator. Added May 29, 2008 Former Garbage frontwoman Shirley Manson has been cast as a series regular for Season 2. She will be playing Catherine Weaver, the CEO of a "cutting-edge high-tech company" which could very well be Cyberdyne. New Characters Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles is currently seeking two new actresses to join the cast of the show for Season Two. "Becky" is a teenage girl (high school age) and is said to be a "hot hipster." She's probably going to be a love interest for John. "Catherine" is the CEO of a major organization and is said to be "unusually Earthy." She'll be in her 30's or early 40's. We'll let you know when and if any casting announcements are made. Both roles are said to be series regulars. Other Spoilers Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles executive producer Josh Friedman spoke with members of the press in early May about the upcoming second season of the show. While TerminatorSite was not included in the junket (very lame, FOX)... here are some highlights (be warned of spoilers): - Summer Glau will be back, in full force. - Brian Austin Green is joining the cast as a series regular, so, no New 90210 for him. - Some very minor spoilers from Mr. Friedman: "The show is about the family and everything that concerns the family concerns us. Last year, John was still in denial and didn’t want the problems of being a hero. This season will be his coming of age year. John will grow up and what will be interesting is that as the boy grows into a man, the less he’ll needs his mother. Sara’s ex will also be back. As will Agent Ellison. And I think it’s fair to say that Agent Ellison has seen some things that will make him re-consider everything he’s known before." - Friedman is not big on the idea of cameos, so we probably won't be seeing Linda Hamilton or Michael Biehn. - The goal is for next season to incorporate more action. More "Future War" episodes are possible, but they are the most expensive to make, and the msot time consuming. |
 | The network is going to run a marathon of the first season of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles starting on Sunday, August 10 at 9pm. Then the other episodes from the first season, in order, will air at 9pm on August 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 24.

16/7/2008 Terminator likely for renew for season 2
 | While we'll likely have to wait for FOX's Upfront in May to get an official announcement, it looks increasingly likely that Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles will be back for a second season.
In a new interview with the Hollywood Reporter, FOX Entertainment President Kevin Reilly is asked about the expectations that Terminator and fellow recent FOX series Back to You will be renewed. Reilly replies "They're really the lead candidates at this point. We've already started staffing on Sarah Connor. Although it was an unusual season, it will end up finishing by far and away the strongest new drama of the season."
Reilly mentioning that they are staffing for Sarah Connor follows on TV Guide's Michael Ausiello recent report that directors were being hired for the first three episodes of Season 2. Obviously a network is not going to staff for a season they don't expect to order, so Terminator's renewal seems to be a certainty.
Can you believe it? A well-received FOX genre series is going to make it to a second season! |
