  • Yosemite National Park, California (Possibly area for geothermal power plant(s), and or factory(s), staging area) (easily defended (only one way in or out by ground, bottleneck))
  • Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming (Possibly area for geothermal power plant(s), easy access to geothermal features, middle of nowhere)
  • Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Washington State
  • Bangor Trident Base, Washington State
  • Very Large Array (VLA), Plains of San Agustin, New Mexico (great testing facility, middle of nowhere)
  • Area 51, Nevada (great staging area for aircraft (can maintain air superiority over all of Nevada), great testing facility, middle of nowhere (Las Vegas will most likely be a crater))

Possibly for Either

  • Cheyenne Mountain Complex, Colorado Springs, Colorado (headquarters of NORAD, with complete underground Combat Operations Center (COC)
  • Serrano Point Nuclear Power Plant: Avila Beach California
  • Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant, Diablo Canyon, California (the plant that Serrano Point is based on)
  • Canadian Forces Base North Bay (CFB North Bay), North Bay, Ontario, Canada (backup base of NORAD with complete under-ground complex (UGC))

We are trying to compile a list of locations that can potentially be used by both the resistance and Skynet in fan fictions. Types of locations worth talking about are: Bunkers, Fallout Shelters, Military Bases, Factories, Hardened Facilities, Testing Ranges, and good natural locations for the construction of the aforementioned things.

Bunkers will be the primary locations of interest to the resistance.

Factories and hardened facilities will be of great interest to Skynet. Skynet can produce its machines, and hardened facilities can become Skynet nodes. It will also be interested in military bases from which it can launch UAV's and HK's.
