About Summer
Summer is an extraordinary young woman who possesses a natural talent for pouring her own heart and soul into her various portrayals, bringing the characters alive in a way that few can nowadays. In her past, Summer has played the roles of River Tam (a traumatized teenage psychic), Tess Doerner (an alien abductee with mind control powers), Crystal Burns (a manipulative career army wife), and various other roles.

Prior to entering the world of acting, Summer was, and still is, an expert ballet dancer and was primed for a career in dancing were it not for a fateful ankle injury. Despite this accident, however, Summer remains a true artist.

But once I started watching her regularly, I became captivated by her talent and beauty. Now that I've read and learned more about her, I'm convinced that she's a very special person. She's overcome many challenges, including growing up a painfully shy child, and being a bit lonely and isolated due to her intense ballet training. Summer Glau is a treasure. I discovered Summer in Firefly and have been a fan ever since. She plays one of the most fascinating characters on television in her portrayal of Cameron. She is one of the few actresses I have ever seen with the talent o make a Terminator loveable. Her professional maturity is evident in her work on this show, and I hope that she prospers in what ever she does.
She is so graceful in her work, and is such a kind soul in person. Hopefully the craziness of Hollywood won't change that. I suspect because of her roots it won't. The humility and sweetness of her demeanor is the mark of a woman that is as beautiful on the inside as on the outside. Here's to Season 3 and more Summer!
