| Model/series information: AKA(s): Officer Austin Featured in:
Created by: Skynet. The T-1000 is an advanced prototype model, and as such was the only one in existence. Special effects: Stan Winston Prosthetics Industrial Light & Magic CGI Played by: Robert Patrick Jeanette Goldstein Dan Stanton Linda Hamilton TALK ABOUT THIS TERMINATOR | Design specifications: Prototypes: The T-1000 is the prototype Physical appearance: Anything it has come into physical contact with that is of similar mass, so long as it is not a complex machine containing explosives, moving parts, etc. Endoskeleton characteristics: No endoskeleton. The mimetic liquid metal structure simply mimics anything that comes into contact with. Artificial Intelligence factors: Highly advanced, able to detect and scan from touch, trained in basic human physiology, replicate to a highly accurate degree (as long as uncorrupted) as well as being devious. IE - Choosing a Police Officer for it's default model. Design mods from previous models: First departure from endoskeleton based design. Design flaws: Weak against extreme temperatures, causing the unit to glitch. Potential to turn against programming. As with several series, dogs are known to react negatively to the presence of a T1000. High impact shots, such as shotguns, can momentarily stun or knock down a T-1000 Development history: Created by Skynet in 2029. Capabilities: Mimetic poly alloy shape-shifter who can imitate anyone and make weapons with his body. The T-1000 can also absorb damage easily. Combat role/modes: How this Terminator infiltrates: Completely imitates physical appearance of its target. Trademark attack style: Stealth. Uses its mimetic poly alloy to create blades to stab and cut. Casualty count: 7. 8 if the helicopter pilot didn't survive the fall in T2. Best lines: "Say, that's a nice bike." "Have you seen this boy?" "I know this hurts... call to John now." Best scenes: Truck chase Demise: 'Melted' in a vat of molten steel. |

I was wondering do any of the T-1000 series (Liquid Metal) Terminators use a HUD, They never showed one in T2 and i was wondering is ist technologically/physically possible for those units to posses a hud interface. thoughts?

A lot of threads discuss the notion that T1000's can go rogue and become independent of skynet. I had a few questions about the T1000 model:
1. How do they power themselves? I ask because it doesn't seem like they have the traditional power cell unit seen in other terminators inside their body. They are more fluid-like. 2. How many T1000s exist? We know of the one in T2 and CW, but in the future are there more? 3. I also don't think skynet would make T1000s (even in desperation) if they could not control them. Do you think we will be introduced to new weapons from the future to destroy T1000s? We briefly saw that crazy weapon Sarah used in the bank on Cromartie. 4. Why do some T1000's go rogue? I understand they can learn/adapt based on their experiences with people as we see how disciplined the T1000 from T2 was, but can’t skynet make the T1000 read-only and just utilize its physical features? Imagine if Cromartie or a basic terminator had CW's physical abilities. Frank |
