Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles Season 1 & Season 2 on FOX and Virgin + 1




BACKGROUND ON GAMES/VIDEOS
In 1984, James Cameron directed a movie entitled "The Terminator". Little did James Cameron know, or anyone else for that matter, that this would spawn two sequels, a television series, and a fan base numbering in the hundreds of thousands.

It wasn't long before the gamers got involved and created a number of DOS, arcade, video, pinball, and PS2 games. As depicted in the original Terminator movie, Terminators were unstoppable machines, and this concept fit perfectly into the gaming world. Terminators were sent back in time by Skynet, a computer system created by humans that became self-aware and saw mankind as a threat to its existence.

The first film centered on a Terminator's mission to kill Sarah Connor, in order to prevent her from giving birth to a son, John Connor, who would lead the future Resistance against Skynet. That terminator failed to complete its mission, as it was destroyed by Kyle Reese and Sarah Connor.

In the second film, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, James Cameron gave us a new Terminator, the T-1000. The T-1000 was Skynet's most advanced Terminator, made of liquid metal. It's mission was to kill John Connor when he was about 14 years old. It failed in its mission since it was terminated by a T-800 and Sarah Connor.

These films, because of their Terminator themes, became very popular and lead to the creation of various video and computer games. These games ran the gamut of DOS-based games, to arcade games, to pinball games, and on to today's state of the art gaming stations (e.g., PS2).
