How it began: I began this story with encouragement from Andrew Keen, someone I met on theTerminator Chronicles website. I had posted a short scene I wrote depicting Sarah being reunited with her son, and being surprised by the arrival of Allison, whom John brought with him. I then began writing a short story at his prompting. I shared it with him and he pointed me to the website FanFiction.net. I read two stories that peaked my interest. I thought ‘I can do this.’ I began to embellish and expand my little story building on details in Season 2 and tried to give it that feel of the TV-series. I tried to keep scenes short (not always easy), improved and added dialog, added new characters, added scenes that set the mood and feelings of the people, added action sequences and tried to tighten up the tension. Soon it began to grow into novel size proportions. With the sad news of the series not being picked up for a third season, I will consider this my idea for a third season.
Apologies: I apologize if any plot lines are similar to other stories. I am trying to remain faithful to the Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles series, and there is only so much to work with in developing a story that picks up from where Season 2 of the TV series ends and remain faithful to it. To keep my story as original as possible, I ceased reading other peoples fan fiction that took place post season 2. I didn’t want them to influence my writing, even subconsciously. Also, I want to apologize for any plots or characterizations that seem different from established canons. I am assuming that the future that John Connor has gone to, is an alternate time-line created by his jump forward in time and as such the events that should have taken place in those intervening years may not be exactly as we have been led to believe.
Setting: The setting of this story begins immediately after the events of “Born to Run” the Season 2 finale of “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.” Story switches between John Connors experiences in 2027 and Sarah Connors experiences in 2009.

The future I am writing is an alternate time line created by John's leap forward in time and some characters may not be present, nor some of the events we have been shown to have taken place by this time may not have occurred in the intervening years in which John wasn't there. As the story Progresses expect to see more characters of My Own invention.

Summary: 2027: John Connor finds himself in a future where he isn’t known. He uses his knowledge and training to earn the respect of the resistance fighters and rises in the ranks. He meets Allison, the person that Cameron was built to look like. He finds himself falling in love with her, yet is tormented by his love for Cameron. 2009: Sarah Connor continues her fight against SkyNet, but once again she is a fugitive on the run. Can she rely on James Ellison? And what dark secret is keeping Agent Auldridge from discovering the truth. Events steer them together in an ever tightening web of fear, terror, and pure evil.
