a scene a dream
John lies in a semi-peaceful slumber until his eyes suddenly pop open. Cameron is standing at the foot of his bed not unlike she normally might, she tends to face the window though,...tonight it seems as if she has been watching him for a while.
“Wha..?” John starts but Cameron cuts him off, “shhh…” she puts her right knee up on the bed, supports herself with her right hand and brings her left leg up too so that each bent knee rests just outside each of his ankles. She begins a slow crawl up the bed toward him, carefully placing each hand or knee right next to each side of his body so that she brushes him gingerly each time. She reaches the top of the bed where she pauses, leaning over his frozen frame. She reaches her hand up and rubs along the side of his face and down along his neck, to the top of his chest, tracing her middle finger along his clavicles. John remains motionless, she then leans down and places her lips again his softly. She allows her body to sink slowly down onto his so that she is lying flush on top of him. His original shock is replaced by a deep longing. He reaches his arms up from his sides to caress her waist, his right hand moves up to touch her face as if to see if this is real...
“hmph.” John grunts and opens his eyes again.
Cameron is standing at the foot of the bed looking out the window. She turns and looks at him. “What are you doing?!” he asks accusingly.
“Watching you dream.”
“What?!”
“Watching you sleep,” she replies again, her eyes searching his face as if trying to read his body language.
“Ugh, it freaks me out when you do that.” She looks slightly hurt but he can’t seem to stop himself, “Well, I’m up now so you can find yourself something else useful to do.”
She looks at him one last time before turning and exiting the room.
John flips onto his side and rubs his eyes with his palms…*sighs*
