  • OT - favourite Sci Fi movie ever? Tossup between T2 and The Matrix. I can watch either of those movies and be completely enamored the entire time.

Jurassic Park ranks pretty high for me too.

The Fifth Element is also pretty epic.

  • Where does James Cameron rank as a director?
"James is not that bad at all. The two first Terminator movies were awesome and will be remembered by everyone of my generation. I think of him as one of the greater directors of all time.

You know, I do not understand why people like Spielberg. Yes, he had a couple of Indiana movies and he did Saving Private Ryan. But the other movies he did have always been a huge disapoointment.

    Taste... nothing scientific about it..."
You need to watch Spielberg's first movie: Duel.

If you look at the top 20 movies of all time, Spielberg has at least 8-10 movies. That is about half. I don't beieve any of the following were disappointments:

Close Encounters of the Third Kind
    E.T.
    Munich
    Jurassic Park
    Schindler's List
    Saving Private Ryan
    Raiders of the Lost Ark
    Amistad
    Empire of the Sun
    The Color Purple
    Jaws
    The Sugarland Express
    Duel
    .....and dozens more

SS keeps pumping them out. What is great about SS, no one can pigeon hole him in a particular genre. This is what makes him the #1 Director.

  • Poll John Connor and Cameron having Sex is a good idea
    "sex and Cameron get pregnant.

    Cameron Pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It will change Terminator world forever...

    Maybe for good

    Maybe for Bad

    :-)"
well it was mostly for fun(the idea of a them getting caught/nearly caught by Sarah) but as we saw in Jurassic Park, nature always finds a way of it´s own,, and to me I think skynet in some way is also under care or whim of nature just like us, which is also pretty much i think we could one day end up with a AI either like skynet, or perhaps Cameron, so maybe also a pregnant Cameron could be that Skynet might have gone into to much detail, and she can have completely normal human kids, maybe with a little strange kind of skin(quick regrrowth)

  • Sarah's Inconsistencies Honestly, They could have made some sort of reality show/news tracker that showed how close Sarah's actions are to stopping (or even postponing) JDay. The problem is no one but them know it's going to happen! That and she doesn't have very much or very good intel on what could MAKE Skynet and prevent that. The Turk arc was good, but come on. China, England, Japan, Germany, Russia...there are lots of places where high level AI is being worked on. Any of it can get out of hand and turn on us.

There was a thread here about killer military robots that could feed off dead bodies in the field as an ongoing source of power...no one stops to think that IF they get "smart" they might kill things on their own, just to keep operating? Sounds like a bad sci fi movie, doesn't it> Or "Jurassic Park" at the other end of the spectrum.

Anyway, my point is there are levels of inconsistencies that the writers of this series never addressed. So we get the fallout of that. But let's also face it: they did the best they could with what they had (or wanted) to work with. And not only was it damn good, it was some of the best that TV itself had to offer. Maybe not BSG level, but not far behind.

    And we (all) LIKED it.

The proof of that is WE are all STILL here - TALKINg about it!

    That's LOVE. Mad, crazy, love.
