As for having a conscience, I am not bothered by the talk of John and Cameron or any other charaters getting it on--it's just not likely to happen. However John is a teenager and sooner or later will have to deal with his sexuality and the fact that he will probaly never have any kind of normal relationship. Yup, due to the WAR.

I've been a Sci Fi fan for a long time and you should read some of the fan fiction! It is rife with fantasy romance (sometimes, uh, graphic). The stuff on this board is tame, IMHO.

Common people Cameron and John are not lovers. They're just friends or like brother and sister even.
Because some people just go over board with the Cameron and John thing. At times I think they will totally offend Summer Glau. Fortunately I've been able to gear conversations away from all that perverted stuff as of the last week.

Secondly, why would Cameron kiss "her brother" at the prom? SERIOUSLY. Would that not put them on the radar? However, I do think it would be bitter sweet if they did kiss. But not at prom, everyone would think they're totally weird. I think maybe if they're out in public and Cameron sees Cromartie and then kisses John to hide his face, that would be cool. I think it would be even better though if Cameron kept on learning and asked John why people kiss. And maybe even show her what a kiss feels like. I mean, what fool wouldn't think she's beautiful? I seriously believe and hope Cameron keeps learning. And remember what Sarah said? She said if the terminators can learn the value of life, they'll be us.

Cameron is learning. She really is. She's learned the value of art (obviously by her dancing by herself). She's learned why girls put on make-up. She somewhat understands some human emotions. Like, she understands John's love for his mother. And we know this when she states to Sarah how John told her that his mother used to read "The Wizard of Oz" to him in spanish. So she understands why John loves his mother unconditionally.

So she's learning. Maybe (and I hope) she'll learn the value of human life. And she'll learn the value of a friend. Maybe she could even learn what love is. I mean, I'm not asking for her and John to get married and have robo-kids. I'm just saying... She already does love him in a way. She understands that he is her purpose. Her reason for being. She understands that she needs him just as much as he needs her. SO! Isn't that a type of love?"

"I would find it touching that if somewhere in Season 2 Cameron does go to the prom (with Morris, to keep up the ruse of being brother 'n' sister at school), and is all gussied up and John is there with Cheri.

However, seeing Cameron as lovely as she can be makes John's inner feelings all the more intensified. Seeing her with someone else is also too much. Of course, Cameron secretly "feels" the same way looking at John and Cheri so close (she didn't look too pleased when John saddled up to Cheri in these last few episodes).

At the end of the show the two are back home and Sarah and Derek are off somewhere else. John feels sorry for her that her first prom experience was ruined and turns on some slow dance music on the stereo and dims the lights.

He timidly takes her in his arms and they dance a slow, simple waltz box step (John isn't the best dancer). John slowly starts gettting bolder as his emotions get the better of him, holding her closer, tighter, more intimately. The song stops, they stop dancing. John, still holding Cameron and gazing raptly at her loveliness, leans in and kisses her lightly on the mouth. He breaks off suddenly, with embarrassment as well as shock that he just kissed her (I just kissed Cameron!!), and steps back, and with words like "sorry" tumbling rapidly out of his mouth, dashes to the safety of his bedroom.

How will Cameron react to her first kiss? Perhaps she's as stunned as a Terminator is capable of being. She stands there like a statue staring at where John was a moment before. But then slowly, her hand comes up to her lips, and she touches them lightly with her finger tips. She has a curious expression on her face. Something inside her has stirred again. She liked it. "

Most people confuse the movies with real life...most of the time real life isnt all that interesting.

I think if they do the prom scene, it will be rather benign. But it could be a chance to see everyone dressed up. (a break from the battle fatigues)"
