"Yeah, proms are not always "pretty." I went to one regular dance in high school and one of my buddies got decked by a guy who had been hassling him!

Hell, you should have been to the college Homecoming dance I went to. They shut the damn thing down because some of the football players came in drunk, started fighting, and tore up the joint. It was like right out of the movies. The hotel management banned the college from ever having their school functions there again! And this was a well respected mid-west liberal arts college!! =)

But, I digress...

What happened to Morris and Cheri? I think that this whole prom-thing should create a real strain in their relationships with John and Cameron. In Morris' case he feels like Cameron is cool, distant, and disinterested in him and he would be right (she's keeping too close an eye on John and Cheri (jealous as well as protective?), and also somewhat curious about the social atmosphere with girls and boys interacting... kissing, hugging, flirting, etc.). She would be acting kind of odd to him since most girls already understand this stuff.

From Cheri's perspective, John is paying far too much attention to Cameron (and Morris with Cameron), even if he's trying his best to focus on her. It's weirding her out. Aren't they supposed to be brother and sister? Maybe something John lets slip gets her suspicious that John isn't telling her everything about who they really are, and that will lead to her to snoop on them, and perhaps jeopardize their cover in some fashion.

After something spooks Cameron (Cromartie or some other threat appears) and she and John have to get away, Cheri and Morris think they've been stood up and they're both slightly pissed off with the pair. Obviously, they don't know what's really going on. "

I think that John probably will never have a solid relationship with any girl because of his and Sarah's always moving, always laying low. It would probably happen like you said, Cheri will end up snooping and blow their cover...or she will see something that will blow her mind, like John removing Cameron's chip again...or Cameron doing something to herself, like making repairs to her flesh or with a wire sticking out of her head..lol....or something along those lines, that will make Cheri question all of reality as she knows it. As far as we know, she doesnt know about Judgement Day, or terminators.

So I think too, that their relationships with Morris and Cheri will be on very shakey ground. Most people dont buy the "I'm the savior of all mankind" story and will think they are total kooks. (remember Back to the Future 3, Doc Brown and Clara..he told her he was from the future and the time machine....it nearly screwed up their relationship) Unless, they just say "Hey cool" and want to join the resistance..lol. Doubt that will happen though. "

"I think it would be awesome if Cameron sees someone kiss at prom. And she asks John why people kiss. And he says he "they just do." Then later she is outside with Morris and he tries to kiss her but she gets out of it without hurting him though. Just freaking him out. Then later at home John asks Cameron, "Why did you have to flip Morris out, you should have just kissed him like a regular person." And Cameron's reply is, 'It just didn't feel right." John replies, "What?" Cameron repeats her statement. John then asks, "How could you feel that?" Cameron replies, "I don't know. It just didn't feel right."

John comes further into Cameron's room. He says, "You can feel." Cameron says, "I'm starting to." Cameron says, "Aren't you supposed to dance at prom?" John says, "Yes." Cameron replies, "I didn't get to dance." John asks Cameron if she would like to dance. She says, "Yes." John turns on music (which just so happens to be slow). He takes her right hand in his and puts her left arm on on his shoulder and his arm around her waist. They dance for a little. John brings Cameron closer. While starring into eachothers eyes Cameron says, "This feels right." John leans in and kisses her.

Standing in the doorway is Derek. He stands there stunned. Cameron quickly notices Derek and slightly but quickly pushes John away. Derek says, "What the hell were you doing?" Cameron says, "It felt right." Cameron leaves her own room as Derek stands there amazed at John. Derek says, "She's a MACHINE." John says, "She's a LEARNING machine." Derek says, "She's tricking you. This is over, she's done." John says, "You listen to me. You will not touch her. And that's an order." Derek says, "You're crazy Connor. You have no idea...""

"K. Cameron and John are "brother and sister" AND John is her boss/programmer. The whole Cameron and John getting together thing is just creeping me out."

"This is not necessarily a season 2 issue, but I think it would be one of a few real tragic twists to this whole show if that even IF Cameron was bad at one point and did horrible things in order to enforce the will of Skynet on the humans, that she shows she can evolve, can be good and decent and honorable in her way, can make the right choices, and learn to love and see the value of human life... and Derek, as a reckless human, cannot or is unwilling to change his ways.

That Derek, through some twisted logic, selfish drive, ambition, petty jealousy, or other internal character flaw that he ultimately can't shake or overcome, becomes far more of a threat to John and Sarah than Cameron could or would ever be... and must be dealt with perhaps by Cameron herself. That puts her actions in conflict with John and Sarah's feelings for "family," even though what she chooses to do is actually helping them.

A Terminator ultimately is the "better" person than an actual person. How does that grab you?"
