He is a T-800 Model 101... that's right out of the movies.

Just to clarify... it is beleived that the T-800 is the chasis, and the Model 101 is the physical appearance (i.e. Arnie is the 101). A T-800 model 102 would be the same chassis, but he would not look like Arnie.

A Cyberdyne Systems Model 101 Terminator, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger, is the main antagonist in the original Terminator film. An identical Model 101, having been reprogrammed by the resistance in the future, is one of the protagonists in Terminator 2: Judgment Day. All terminator models before the first Terminator movie had a rubber skin that was easy to spot. Arnold's Terminators had real skin and blood over an exoskeleton. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

I mean were you just adding to his post to help clarify or are you saying it's not a T-800. I just wanted to be clear. I've wondered about it before and if I ever did a fanfic using the model I'd want to be clear(not that I get all the tech stuff right anyway). Is it alright to just call it a T-101? Or does it have to be T-800? Do you find this valuable? |

Yes. Arnold was an 800, model 101 in the first two movies. The 101's had real flesh and blood covering their exoskeleton. In T3, he was a T-850, model 101. As far as I know, it's never been clarified what the difference was between an 800 and an 850. Do you find this valuable? |

In T-2 John Conner said, "You are a Terminator, right?" The Terminator replied "Yes, Cyberdine Systems 101".

"Is it alright to just call it a T-101? Or does it have to be T-800?"The term T-101 has had somewhat of a controversial history. Until T3, it was specifically T-800, model 101. T-101 was incorrect. However, with the term spoken in T3, it has become nessesary to provide an explanation. Personally, I believe that the T-850 was refering to the other model 101 with a shortened term. 'T-101' can only refer to those of the '800 series with the model 101 appearence. Do you find this valuable? |

"In T3, he was a T-850, model 101. As far as I know, it's never been clarified what the difference was between an 800 and an 850."From what I can gather, the differences were mostly with the endo, hence the upgrade in series number. The '850 chassis is stronger, and has an alternate power source, in twin Hydrogen fuel cells (plus residual power if both are damaged). The CPU is also upgraded with various new subroutines and a new HUD. Do you find this valuable? |

Don't know how they'll classify Terminators from now on. T3, in my opinion, is not canon... and a pretty bad movie to boot.
