Drama and romance, and suspense... and character development. Action, of course, but in small doses and very well done.

If all you have is action, action, action it becomes like a B-movie because the writers clearly have nothing else to prop up the story with.

I agree to the no, non-stop action. Balance is needed. I've noticed that many people argree they want more of what's in the box. But you are the second to bring up Romance. Nice to know that you feel this show needs more heart. Not weird stuff but honest heartness. I agree with you on that one. This show overall has a good combination of Genres but does any work need to be done?
Any improvements?

Any other opinions with regard to the Genres?

Yes the action and suspence is what drew me to this show. I really didn't think they could do it initially because hey it's television. But, I'm totally impressed. Because my expectations for this show were low. I didn't think they could do the drama/thriller stuff but they are doing. And doing it they are with some great balance at that to keep the pacing just right. I like the fact that they don't leave my hanging every episode. They bring a good sence of closer to each episode. In other words they acomplish somthing by the end of the episode. They only left me hanging on the last episode. And boy the suspence is killing me right now. Because today marks another week without the show [sobbing]. I want next season to come back with a bang literially because that's how they ended it! 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Drama involving Sarah and John. Not necessarily romance. Do you find this valuable?

Action is going to have to get pretty creative from this point on. There are no more uncertainties. Cameron has been shown able to singlehandedly take down a T-888 and Ellison has learned not to mess with Terminators. In order to include any more action new elements, such as Cameron's absence, multiple Terminators, a new threat, or something else will have to be introduced.
The first two movies hinged on a weaker character facing a stronger foe. Without that you have to get creative, such as the first movie ending in an epic crawling match.

"Drama involving Sarah and John. Not necessarily romance."
With these two I would hope not lol

Kids always have issues with their parents and that's in a normal mother/son relationship. This is totally not normal so I would like to see some tension going on with Sarah and John. Does John resent Sarah for the childhood he had? Does he resent her for him being bounced around? Does he resent her for her getting caught? There's so many issues there and to see a little bit of them every now and would be nice.

I liked The Demon Hand because they explored that some with Sarah signing the parental rights away. Even though they told each other they'd always find the other, it just didn't FEEL like there was much closure there. John still seems very hurt by it and Sarah looked to be at a loss exactly of what to do. More into that would be good.

Well of coarse not romace between John and his mother.

But yes, I love the drama in this season. It's is one of the thing in this show that I thought wouldn't be done correctly. But, it has!

The Drama between Cameron and Derek is good. Especially in the scene when Derek and Cameron Say, "I know you! and she says, "I know you too." Just made me wonder how crazy their past was. And wheather or not is Cameron been a bad Terminator to Derek. Suspenceful totally.

Whoops. Didn't mean to make that impression. More accurately put: more drama for EACH of them, and not necessarily about their relationship.

I knew what you mean. The drama/thriller stuff is very well done. Reminds me a lot of "24"

I would personally like to see more of how John and Cameron interact in the school a little more and how they fail to blend in. (sort of like the part where Cameron gets sent to the counciler.)

P.S. I can't spell

So I guess you like the Drama/thiller stuff in the show? Or the awkward comedy/drama/mystery that Cameron brings to the counsler. Think Sarah will have to come in for a conference with the teacher about that. Could blow their cover. Oh, the suspence/mystery. What genre do you like with regards to what you said?

You know what is something I'd like to see more of? Sarah having to pretend to be Cameron's mom. I don't know why, but I got a kick out of Sarah having to talk to the counselor about Cameron and how she's "dealing" with things. Like, maybe a teacher-parent conference or Open House or Back to School Night sort of thing.

I'm sure it's pretty awkward for Sarah to pretend that this killing machine that she doesn't even completely trust is her own daughter.

Yeah, The awkward comedy would be haleriously funny but very enthrawling at the same time. I think a conference would bring somthing interesting to the series.

I would say what got me really involed was the suspence. Espcecially on episode 4. When John had to remove the from of the neck of a terminator that was on standby. I nearly freaked out and went krazy with the suspence that was building in my gut. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

There was a show in the 90’s called the “No Where Man” it wasn’t bad except the main character who was on the run from some nefarious government organisation kept running into them wherever he went! It’s like this super secret government agency had more people working for it than the regular government did.
I mention this because I don’t want this show to become a “terminator of the week” show where they are running into them all the time for no good reason, I think they came close to this with “Heavy Metal” but have since steered clear thankfully.
This show has the potential to go in many different directions and I think Josh has set up a few storylines which I hope will come to fruition next season, we don’t need the non stop action of the films, I think Josh has struck the right balance between servicing the overarching searching for skynet story with the individual character building episodes, and that’s not easy!
