"There was a show in the 90’s called the “No Where Man” it wasn’t bad except the main character who was on the run from some nefarious government organisation kept running into them wherever he went! It’s like this super secret government agency had more people working for it than the regular government did.
I mention this because I don’t want this show to become a “terminator of the week” show where they are running into them all the time for no good reason, I think they came close to this with “Heavy Metal” but have since steered clear thankfully.
This show has the potential to go in many different directions and I think Josh has set up a few storylines which I hope will come to fruition next season, we don’t need the non stop action of the films, I think Josh has struck the right balance between servicing the overarching searching for skynet story with the individual character building episodes, and that’s not easy!"
I agree. To much action like the terminator of the week plots could get old and boring for many audience viewers. People need variety on television. Because viewers do have attention span problems. I'm guilty. We can't sit still if somthing isn't new, different or out of the ordinary. And I think terminator has done this in this regard. Variety is provided in the genres.

Any particular Genre you like about the show or is it the balance that interests you?
What would you like to see more of?
What would you like to see genre wise for the season primere episodes?
What should FOX do?

It needs a big action opener just to remind people what its all about!
Variety IS the spice of life!
The best thing FOX can “do” would be to not get involved and stay out of Josh’s way!

Who watched the X-Files? Awesome show, I know. They had a main story arch... conspiracy of the government and aliens, right? But, we didn't hear about that conspiracy all the time. It was every now and then would they go into that story arch. We didn't see the Smoking Man every week and if we had I would have hated him because I would have been so damn bored with it. In between the story ach they had different stories going on, some fun, some sad, etc. And then the romance, every now and then they showed Mulder and Scully flirting or whatever, or almost kissing or something. They slowly teased the audience but didn't jerk us around and near the end of the series they finally let something happen.

I hope TSCC goes in this direction. The main story arch is the Connors trying to take out Skynet and also Cromartie trying to find the Connors. I see Cromartie as the Smoking Man, I don't want to see him every episode. He will get old and even if they get another Termiantor, that terminator will still get old if they show one every week. "Terminator of the week" or the same one. Yes, the show is called Terminator, but it's also called Sarah Connor Chronicles. So, I hope we get some "fun" episodes where we can just laugh and chill out, or one episode gets really emotional, etc. And then with the romance, or maybe not romance but the John/Cameron connection.. have hints of their bonding, of their true friendship, but don't overdue and don't go overboard too fast. Slowly tease the audience.

I would just like the writers to take their time with telling stories and have several story archs going on at once and switch it up throughout episodes.

That is a very good idea. Because then we won't have to worry about missing a few episodes and then be left out of the loop as it were.
Because I've always said. This season is where things are probably going to get worse! Before it gets better. Especially since the show is supposed to last around 3-4 seasons.

So variety is needed in the Genres/plot. Any ideas how they may vary the genres/plot next season?

I personally don't have any and I don't want to. I don't want to imagine stories that can happen or relationships that will bloom or whatever. That's why I watch the show as opposed to writing it heh (or fan fiction). I want to be surprised. Can't be surprised if I'm thinking of every alternate scenerio that could happen. I don't like to overthink the creative process.

I understand. No problem. I have no idea wheather the writers are even going to look a lot of this stuff. (but I'm hopful they will) They may just prick things from here and there. Then make up their own stuff. Us fans are kind of like there advisors in that regard.

I don't believe fans are advisors to the writers .There are fans because of the writers. if the writers sucked at their job, there wouldn't be as many fans. I think what writers do and I think it's very cool is when they put a little something in the show, just a little mention about this or that, or a joke or something and it's a little nod off to the fans. A little inside joke only hardcore fans would understand.

I like what the writers have done so far and I'm sure they have ideas that this board hasn't even thought of yet and I'm looking forward to seeing what it is. We're all here because we like (for the most part) what they've done and we are not their advisors.

I'm not saying that we are their advisiors I mean that we are sort of like feedback as it were. Feedback to show wheather or not they are doing a good job or not. Plus feed back to know what the fans like or dislike or what they want like soundtracks or somthing. Stuff that may help them as to what to release to the market or show on the show itself.

And yes I do belive they do a little bit of somthing to give a little nod off to the fans. That is what I was refering to with regard to being advisiors. You know like maybe the writers get a little inspiration for somthing we thought of here.

I want to see more Summer Glau she is the reason that I am a fan of the show. Everything else is just window dressing if they try to replace her with another actress I will be gone. Do you find this valuable?

I think the cast and crew would be excited to see so much fan support. I offer my opinions on what I would like to see, but I certainly dont expect them to use them. I think its understood that we are just discussing the show and offering opinions. Perhaps they will get some ideas...and perhaps they wont. I just love discussing it :)

I think the way the show is, is a really great formula. It has the best mix of action, adventure and even those lighter moments. I think it should stay the way it is :)

Well I do know officially that this website is a joint partnership between FOX and Wetpaint. So this can be considered the official fan website where the Cast and Crew will respond to the Fans! That's why we have the producers blog here on this website.

Drama that leads to people developing skynet. I'd like to see Sarah take a more active role in tracking Skynet. Give her a job like a dispatcher for a large trucking company. That would put her in a position to discover unusual shipping patterns. to companies developing skynet.

Action is great. But not every week. I rather see 2 or 3 really intense fight scenes scattered throughout the season.

with regard to what you said about action. I think it would be a good idea to do a total action episode every few weeks. Then in between built up to these action episodes with Suspence/Drama with a little hint of comedy like they have been doing. Like the episodes like the season primere will obviously be action then afterwards go to Drama for like 2 weeks then go back to Action and you know vary it up sort of like that.
