"They were interrogated by Cameron who was doing so to test if they could be trusted by John.

I think a hint was given that the music was some sort of mind game that was being played on Derek in crew when after the machines were gone someone asked if it was some sorta game(because they had been left an ax to break free) and Derek said "I'ts always a game"

If what she is saying is true -( that her memory is scrubbed) I think the reason she picked the same music that was in the basement was that on some level she can remembers it. Kinda makes me wonder if there is not some way her memories can be retrieved and that at some point this may happen to show us more about what went down in her past(the future)."
Is the music actually being played in the scene? By Cameron? I thought maybe it was just running in Derek's head as he was watching her--maybe seeing her sparked some hidden memory in his brain, which would connect both him and Cameron to the basement thing.

"Is it just me or does the music in the basement, sound the same as the music cameron is ballet dancing to?"
Its definitely the music they play at key points in the series and it makes her dancing very beautiful. Assuming you didn't see the clip on YouTube, thanks for buying the DVD and supporting the show.
