" Assuming that we get more seasons, it'll be fun to see how they handle the Tin Man/Cameron getting a heart..."She's already got one. She just doesn't know it yet. Only the wizard does, Future John, the man you never see, behind the curtain, running everything....hmmmm.... Do you find this valuable? |

"And in a season 1 conversation with Cheri, John mentions that they both live near Wichita, Kansas. WofOz references abound in T:SCC - it's refeshing to see that in season 2 the writers haven't dropped that theme. Assuming that we get more seasons, it'll be fun to see how they handle the Tin Man/Cameron getting a heart...This is interesting: In that episode, John said they were from Lawrence, Kansas. I picked that out while watching some of Season 1 today. Lawrence was the main city in the TV movie, "The Day After". excerpt from IMDb http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085404/plotsummary [The frightening story of the weeks leading up to and following a nuclear strike on the United States. The bulk of the activity centers around the town of Lawrence, Kansas.] I also say something in the "Demon Hand" episode. When the Shrink was lying outside his cabin, Ellison was standing over him with his gun. There was two rather clear reflections of a rainbow on the ground. Check it out of you have the DVDs. "Somewhere over the Rainbow" reference or just a lighting coincidence? ;-) Do you find this valuable? |

"Good catch. Who the hell remembers "The Day After" much less details from it.?"LOL... Me. I'm giving away my age, heh? Was way too young for the anti-war protests of the 60s and 70s so protesting No Nukes in the early 80's was a big thing for us. "The Day After" was something to watch. Do you find this valuable? |

"She's already got one. She just doesn't know it yet. Only the wizard does, Future John, the man you never see, behind the curtain, running everything....hmmmm...."Your right. Future John has been unseen and untouchable by the terminators so far, just like the Wizard of Oz. I also think it's interesting how present John has the fictitious sir name, "Baum." As the author of his own story, he writes his own future, so it's not set. This is the most brilliant thread so far. Do you find this valuable? |

Oh come on! Lets Just All Listen to Dark Side of The Moon while simultaniously watching WOZ. (By the way, Roger Waters never denied basing the album on the movie.)

"This is interesting:Great catch, Vic_jr, you're right about Lawrence, Kansas - I had completely forgotten about that! And kudos about noticing the Lawrence connection to "The Day After," as far as I know you are the first on this forum to bring that up. Honestly, T:SCC (as some else note) is like a 7-layer cake - every time you get through one level there turn out to be more. I'm inspired by your example, and aim to post a possible reference/connection to the storyline concerning Shirley Manson's husband dying in a plane crash, and her replacement by a T-1000. Probably post a thread tomorrow, but can anyone else guess what it is now? Do you find this valuable? |

OK, so Riley didn't make it.However at the end of Season 2 John Connor has grown up. He goes to the future that his mother has prepared him for. He meets his old friends that he knows: his Uncle Derek and Cameron (but she's really Alison). He knows them but they do not know him or his story. Just like the Wizard of Oz ends with Dorothy back at the farm. Do you find this valuable? |
