Cameron's Death
Jul 16 2008, 2:44 PM EDT
Okay, so I've just written the 7th chapter of my Cameron's Redemption fan fic, and it got me thinking about the end... of Cameron. Now as much as I would love the idea that Cameron survives past Judgment Day, I think it is inevitable that she will die in the very last episode of the Sarah Connor Chronicles. I say this because of what happened to Kyle, the T-800, and the T-850. John's protectors always die. Plus there is no mention of Cameron in Terminator Salvation, which is said to be set after the series. So I am interested in other people's theories of how she will die. A bit morbid I know, but there you go. Do you find this valuable?

"Okay, so I've just written the 7th chapter of my Cameron's Redemption fan fic, and it got me thinking about the end... of Cameron. One thing to note -- both Josh Friedman and McG have stated that T4 and T:SCC are different timelines. Different possibilities of what could be. As such, there are no plans to overlap them in any way. Now, there are several fics that have her surviving past and others that have her being destroyed before the Judgment Day. There was another that posulated she's stuck in a loop getting her memory scrubbed and being sent back over and over again. But, for a running theme, the concept you have of her end certainly fits what's happened to Reese and the other two T-101's from the movies. Ultimately, with your fic, it's up to you to choose how and why a character meets their fate. Do you find this valuable? |

"One thing to note -- both Josh Friedman and McG have stated that T4 and T:SCC are different timelines. Different possibilities of what could be.This is not necessarily true. Halcyon who owns the entire Terminator franchise also owns "certain aspects" of TSCC. While no one knows what these aspects are, the only valuable asset is "Cameron". She was sent from the year 2027, which will be covered during the T5 and T6 movies. It's conceivable for Cameron to move from TSCC to T5, T6 or both. In at least one time line, Cameron exists well past Judgment Day. It is also conceivable for Cameron to exist in multiple time lines. Here's an end: Cameron sacrifices herself to save John by destroying Skynet's core and backup systems. By saving John, she saves mankind. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"This is not necessarily true. From: http://www.thescifiworld.net/interviews/josh_friedman_01.htm Question: On being picked up. I was wondering if now that you’re onto a second season, is there going to be any sort of tie or link into the planned Terminator movie? And if so, what sort of bridge will there be? Story wise and marketing wise. Josh Friedman: I’m sure that it’s a wonderful marketing—I mean I think it is a wonderful marketing opportunity for both to cross promote. It’s not something that I spend a lot of time dealing with right now. I think, I know McG a bit and we’ve had a couple talks about it, but and we both think that it can benefit everybody. Narratively I think it from my point of view, I think it would be very complicated. And I also think, as I said, as I’ve always said, I think the TV show, the TV show and we try to be respectful of the cannon as it relates to the first two movies, kind of what’s come before us, but after that, I think we’re sort of we do what we do. And I would hate to try to hit-- I think for us to try to hit the T4 target or for them to try to hit us is really challenging. So it’s, and I don’t think necessary. I think it’s, people can kind of look at these two things and just think I’ve got a lot of Terminator that I can absorb, and it doesn’t have to all fit together. I think we understand that there’s different things going on in the TV and movie universe. And several other interviews he's said similar things. Basically, they want to keep it separate. "From: http://www.thescifiworld.net/interviews/josh_friedman_01.htmYour missing the point. Directors don't call the shots. Owners do. If Halcyon says "move Cameron to the Terminator movies", it will be done. Do you find this valuable? |

"Your missing the point.I don't think I am. We don't know exactly what Halcyon owns of SCC. It's never been stated explicitly and I doubt they'd tell us if asked. It could just be the base characters (John, Sarah, Silberman) that appeared in the movies and the concepts, which is possibly why Cameron's model number has only been referred to sketchily. What we do know is what McG and Josh have said and I don't imagine they'd say it in an interview if they were going to be contradicted later. Barring any other form of communication from Halcyon, I'm more than willing to take the word of the director of T4 (and possibly further chapters) and the showrunner of SCC at their word. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. "Any way, I remember hearing that TSCC will carry a link to T4."Maybe not then. Anyway, about Cameron's possible death; I'm pretty sure that it will occur, like I said before about the previous protectors. It'll no doubt be an epic "Buffy jumps into the swirling vortex to prevent the apocalypse" kinda thing. Do you find this valuable? |

They confess they love each other. ATTMO. *snickers* Ok, maybe that should never be written. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |
