What I find most enjoyable about this TV show is that it has kind of been the enema that this franchise needed. Too bad McG is likely going to do catastrophic damage to the franchise next summer.

I agree with everything previous posters have said. To add, like most people I *love* a good mystery, but I have to be confident that the writers are doing it as part of a plan, not just a mystery for mystery's sake - like Lost has become. OTOH, prosaic answers to a mystery can spoil the fun of the mystery itself. It's a difficult thing to balance, one which so far TSCC has been able to maintain. I love the mystery around Cameron, and I almost wish that we never find out the full story behind her.I also *love* it when other characters are brought into the "Big Secret", so I loved what happened to Charley in Dungeons and Dragons - his face when Cameron effortlessly hoists the T-888 over her shoulder! We have something similar to look forward to with Ellison in S2, although of course he already has his big suspicions so it won't be as much of a surprise for him. Do you find this valuable? |

Ditto on the Cammy part. A woman is more attractive when she is mysterious... and sexy... Don't matter if she is a FemBot, erm.... I meant a hyperalloy combat chassis with artificial flesh on the outside... whatever...

Addicted? To TSCC? Are you kidding me??? LOL... :-DI can't even let go of my iPod, I even bought an additional charger and stand to put in my office. I have all episodes of Season 1 in it. As a matter of fact, today is the what... 5th times? 6th times I watched 'em..... What makes me addicted to it, is Summer Glau of course, she's a true beauty, without her, I don't think I wanna watch it twice. Oh and of course Agent Ellison with the way he talks. :-D 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

I'm not sure I can say what it is about a show that grabs hold of my heart and mind like a frog's tongue nabbing an insect (not the greatest image, I know). Star Trek, Star Wars, Starman, Beauty and the Beast, Seaquest...it starts with sci fi, obviously, but then there has to be a fantastic story, relatable characters with depth, continuity and development, the gamut of human emotion, and just an incredible quality of writing and imagination and cinematography. Once in a while, it comes along, so now I can say, yes I actually watch a TV show again. What gets to me about this show is: I'm a mother, so I can relate to Sarah, protecting her child any way possible, no matter how extreme the danger. I've had a teenage son, so I can relate to John and his transition through adolescence. I've had a teenage daughter, but I haven't had a robot, so it's funny to watch how Cameron interacts with a family. I love humor, so I delight in catching the little hilarious moments amidst all the violence and heartbreak. And there's something undefinable about the Terminator movies I've loved since the beginning - maybe a woman learning about her strength, in this testosterone-toxic, Dodge-Rambo, paramilitary society that I don't feel part of. Whatever it is, I'm addicted. Gotta get my weekly dose of heartache and PTSD!

Nevermind the fact that John Connor is supposed to be the savior of the world, I just like the fact that they tackle life on their own terms without regard for law, society, ethics, morals, religion, or any of that man-made baloney that dictates how one should behave. They're survivors, they do what they need to do. Sarah sleeps next to a trunk with loaded assault rifles, Cameron stands guard all night long while they sleep, they have contingency plans for when they're under attack, they don't trust anyone, anybody who has knowledge about them is a potential threat to be eliminated, they steal from people, and they'll harm people if they have to. In essence, they live in their own little world, and on their own terms. They obey no one, and who says they have to? Maybe if they're weren't living day to day in fear of Terminators killing them, they'd live like the rest of us going to work everyday and each day blurring into the next. But at least they probably feel alive inside, what with death looming over their shoulders as a reminder of how short life really is. It sounds like fun. Also, they seem like the LEAST domesticated, docile, weak-minded bunch of characters on TV. They don't bother us with petty problems like not having the right designer shoes and handbags.Do you find this valuable? |

Hi my name is Val, and I'm a Termaholic.....LOLj/k or notI have been a fan of the Terminator franchise since the beginning, like InstantEntertainment. I too am a Sarah fanatic....I love that she is strong...The best fighter (future) John Knows. She will go to any length to protect her child...which any mother should do. She can handle herself with a gun. Hell she's probably one mean woman in a bar fight! LOL....The humanity that the show gives to the entire Connor Crew is great. I like that although Sarah believes what she isdoing for John is correct, John doesn't necessarily see it that way....they are human, there are struggles in thier relationship. However, we know from comments thatfutureJohn has made about Sarah that he loves her dearly and has tons of respect for her...They will get through thier troubles...as will John and Cam....He is 16 after all....not many people in this world get along with 16 year olds....even thier peers~ LOL Either way, the character development rocks and I LOVE the action & explosions Do you find this valuable? |

In TSSC we have quite possibly the most talented cast on TV today, if not of all time; their interacitons are simply phenominal. Add to that a creative team unafraid to take significant risks to make a unique product, and you have a show I will watch till the end.

What I enjoy most about this show is how it widens the scope of the Terminator franchise beyond Arnold's cheesy one-liners. The movies, while entertaining, did not have the running time nor creative flexibility to get as in-depth as this series.I'm interested in the real world aspects of this saga and how we're drifting in that direction even today. This show does an excellent job of laying the foundation for how a Skynet-controlled world becomes reality and it does so with numerous examples of choices being made in today's world that give rise to it (the push for computer-controlled traffic signals, computer-controlled aircraft, computer-controller reactor systems, and so on). It's addictive to watch because it brings the whole concept to a level we can relate to in modern times. Do you find this valuable? |
