The idea of a Terminator walking around is absolutely terrifying. And what hits me is that humanity does it. We are responsible. We only have ourselves to blame ... Powerful stuff. Will we ever learn?

Machines from the future are trying to terminate the future saviour of mankind. The idea is brilliant and keeps me coming back for more. Some people don't get it but the ones who really get it are going bonkers over it. Summer being cast as a terminator also adds to the addictive factor. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

"Everything but mostly that Sarah Connor has been brought back from the dead. Been a huge fan of that character since the first time I saw The Terminator (20 some years ago).
And Lena Headey's just doing a splendid job as Sarah Connor."
My sentiments exactly. I didn't see 300 until after T:SCC brought Lena Headey to my attention. I've been digging up everything I can find that she is in. I stick with T:SCC because of Sarah Connors resurrection and Headey's performance.

"Maybe this has been asked and answered, or maybe not...humor me! So, what is that you find so addicting about the T:SCC TV series in particular?

Is it the sci fi tech stuff that's got you hooked? The story line? The relationship (or potential one) between John and Cameron? Trying to tie it into the movies? You were a nut for the Terminator movie series to begin with?

What is it that's got you fanatically addicted to the show, and do you feel the same way about the movies? Let's hear it!"

I think that its great for a first to get the show off to a great start and continue so strongly. What I'm talking about is the first use of female terminators. It is a delicious new taste of the Terminator world and I for one love it but watch this show on TV and Hulu.com everyweek. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

What has me addicted to the show is that it is dark and all of the main characters are heavy-weights in violence. Every one of them fires a gun and for contrast you simply have characters that are a little less likely to go from comforting a little girl to making a fast shot hitting between the eyes of the person holding John hostage than others. And if you don't, you're like Charley, who's no wuss.

I guess what I mean to say is that what makes this show addicting is that it's not a highschool drama and Lena looks awesome every time she holds a shotgun and fights against the machines. Then, on top of that, you have the "sci-fi" elements of what it means to be an intelligent machine- and how it really isn't so much of a stretch in science at all. I think Cameron's character doing ballet, the Turk, Vick terminator being married, etc. make an awesome sci-fi element for the show. Lastly, Terminator behavior itself is awesome stuff to see- the way Cameron looked after getting blown up, and then the stapling of her face later, for example. They aren't dumb, they aren't weak, they seem nearly unstoppable and the struggle against such an incredible enemy is the reason why the Terminator universe has always been inherently good.

I think I got hooked on the pilot. It basically showed something that I didn't believe before watching it. A TV show with a minuscule budget made a pilot that was better than a sequel to a movie franchise (I'm talking about T3). I mean am I wrong with thinking this? Because I wished in my mind while watching the pilot for TSCC that they would have used this script for T3 than the one they showed in theaters. No other show, other than Buffy the Vampire Slayer did this to me. If the powers that be know what they're doing they should have Josh Friedman write a new script for the terminator franchise that disavows T3...or have him do something with the movie franchise. Oh...and Summer Glau is really hot ..haha :) Do you find this valuable?

First; I don't watch it for the action... movies do action much better...

but TV do character developmet, drama, relationships, story better... and TSCC do allt thet very well. Unlike others I don't think the parts with the pregnant neighbour is a waste of "action-time", since the action is the least interesting... (maybe it's because I'm old.. ;-) )

So, to sum it up: I watch it for the characters, the story, and for the short humour parts, too...

1)I love the Terminator movies - some of the best Sci-fi ever produced.
2)The freshness and novelty of a show that is not like every other show out there.
3) Smart and clever writing, interesting characters, and intriguing interactions between them
4)Summer Glau
