Is Riley really human?

I'm not 100% convinced that Riley is actually human. It's possible that she is John's new terminator protector at his new school. In the final few episodes of Season 1 Cameron was taking steps to appear more human, i.e. ballet, making small talk. It's possible that Riley is a newer model sent back at a time when future John knows Cameron is damaged. Her asking for money for food, odd expressions (apples and carrots) and being more laid back could all be enhancements. The fact that she build him a protective robot and is an "early riser" (Cameron: "I don't sleep") and the more thorough scan Cameron gave her all point to her being more than she 1st appears. 2  out of 7 found this valuable. i hope she is human for johns sake, he needs a few weeks of being with a human girl to lead him back to his future, so he really knows what he is fighting for.

I had the same thought that she might be the shape shifter terminator, and that she is just trying to get close to him. If that were the case she would of just killed him and bang show over but there's something definitely there about riley. It could be that she is a real girl and her and john will "kick it" because they are so alike. After all john still is a teen and he needs friends, like he said when is the time to live my life. we'll see, overall i like riley her and john make a good couple. Do you find this valuable?

Since Terminators are showing up everywhere, I consider every new character a Terminator until proven otherwise (maybe Team Connor should follow this simple approach.)

What did she (Riley) say when she called him? Oh and i like the code thing, so they know they are not talking to a terminator. Do you find this valuable?

Riley's 100% human guys. The producers said it many times and even her. For them to go back on that would be stupid. Do you find this valuable?

Would Riley even need to be a terminator in order to protect John? She's obviously a lot, well, beefier than him. In a fistfight between the two my money would be on Riley for sure ;-) 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

She may be 100% human, but that doesn't mean they won't pull a fast one and have her be a "back up plan" from the future.

She seemed overly aggressive to worm her way into John's life so suddenly. She may be one of the people that was sent into the cellar in the future. A reprogrammed human?

Either that or she's just an odd duck. =)

She would be the oddest of ducks!

Hate to say it but I think she's another reprogrammed (protector) terminator. Intention being

Eh, if Riley were a terminator...

I would not like it AT ALL. Like, seriously WHAT IS THE POINT? We have enough terminators running around as it is!!!

Her being another infiltrator model would not only dimish Cameron's uniqueness but it would negate the whole point of her character anyway. She's supposed to be a normal human girl that John needs right now to gain a little normalcy back in his life.

I don't see any need to make her a terminator... seriously.

Could just be what the writers were intending...make us doubt she's human. I hope Riley is human. We didn't need a bunch of "Uncle Bobs" in T2.

But.....Has anyone ever played with Legos? It would take hours to build that "robot" Riley made for John. She also mentions "protector to watch over you at night" or something. She's reminiscent of Cameron in many ways. Riley is like "Pilot" Cam.

"Anyone know how many episodes we'll see this Riley character in?"
Well, she is a series regular so i'm assuming quite a bit. Not as much as our main 4 (Sarah, John, Cameron, and Derek), but we should be seeing her more than Morris and Cheri combined.

I doubt she'll show up in every episode though.
