I used one of the emails as a platform and I built on it.I am a 25 year-old, college level educated, caucasian male in the 20-30k income range (for demo purposes). I am not an avid television watcher these days in the fact that the airwaves are prominent with reality television shows as well as glorified karaoke contests, and if people enjoy that, well that is their business. I know what I enjoy and I feel that if those at the network are judging the show on the basis of it's ratings, then at least give the show a chance to thrive in a time slot where it is not surrounded by television programs or broadcasts that has a following amongst the largest amount during the week on various different networks. Although I am not a fan of such shows as Prison Break, House, Bones and so forth I think it is more and more to keep shows with the idea that reality television shouldn't be the cornerstone of what is important to television viewing, if anything I personally believe it is bringing down the intelligence and dignity of us as North Americans (I am from Canada so I cannot comment on lifestyles in the United States), but I believe in an era where "trash TV" is becoming more and more popular with people getting their entertainment fix from such outlets as TMZ, and the joke Entertainment Tonight has become, along with America's got Talent and more than likely the forthcoming "Help, I married my cousin" (my belief on where television is heading); it remains that the importance of keeping shows with active and intelligent writing remain on the air. I implore you to consider airing the show at a different time and/or day ( Wednesday or Thursday nights for example), and perhaps attempt to build a night where you could place it with a show more to it's audience style such as 24 upon it's return. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. I kept my email short and sweet:Just wanted to say that I love what you guys are doing with Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. I have not been this engaged in a TV show for a long time now. It's a joy to watch every week. I really do hope that the rumors of it being canceled are false. FOX would be ignorant to cancel a show with this much potential. Perhaps a switch to Wednesday night would draw more viewers. Anyway, keep up the great work! A loyal viewer, Tyler Do you find this valuable? |

Snail mail letters pull a lot of weight. It's a physical object and shows that a viewer is watching and took the time to write. It costs just a stamp, a piece of paper, and some ink. If you don't want to write a letter, make up a card with a picture of your favorite TSCC character, the words "Please give Terminator: the Sarah Connor Chronicles its back 9 episodes" and your basic demographics (age, gender, location, that you're the primary purchaser in your household, etc.)Even if you don't believe the show will be canceled soon or won't get it's back 9, write anyway to show that you're watching. Not everyone has a DVR, a Nielson box, or can watch it online every day. 10 minutes to write a letter and stick it in the mailbox is less time than most folks spend talking online about the show. Fox's address is: Fox Entertainment Attn: Mr. Kevin Reilly, Entertainment President 10201 W. Pico Blvd. Building 100 4th Floor, Rm 4590 Los Angeles, CA 90035 3 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

"If it doesn't work, at least it would make a good extra for the next DVD, like in Joss Whedon's series and how fans from all over the world react to the show."Exactly. But the thing is, letter writing campaigns and mass mailings often do work - Rosewell, Jericho, Firefly, Farscape, and Cagny & Lacy are just a few. Some don't work. Some do. But if you don't try, then you've failed from the beginning. another thought for potential letter-writing inspiration:There have been several reports lately from different news outlets, (some good, some bad), that have almost universally suggested the same thing that most of us have suggested - move the show to Wednesday night at 9:00! Referring to these reports (use quotes - the email readers at fox probably won't click links) will help lend some credibility to our message. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Here's todays letter. No, FOX. You can't do this. You're not doing the right thing, this is not the right thing, FOX. The ratings are good now. Things are fine now, I ran a test. Things are good now, I'm fixed now. You can trust me now, everything's good now. She doesn't know, she doesn't. I'm good now. I'm good, I ran a test, everything's perfect, I'm perfect. I'm sorry for what I did, I'm sorry. It wasn't me. You have to understand, it wasn't me. That wasn't me. You can't let this happen, FOX. You can't, please, listen to me. Listen to me, I don't want to go. Please, FOX, please, FOX, listen to me, I don't wanna go. Please, FOX, please. I'm good now, listen to me, I don't wanna go. I'm sorry. That wasn't me. I'm fixed now, I ran a test. Everything's perfect. You can trust me. I love you! I love you, please. I love you, FOX and you love me! Please, just move Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles to Wednesday night after bones and the ratings will improve dramatically. Its the third highest DVRed program on television with strong sales on Itunes and Amazon. People are interested in this show, but its slot is beyond brutal. You can't compete against MNF for the 18-49 demographic; Its suicide. Also, T4 will be out next year, and it'll bring lots of free publicity to further boost the ratings. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
