"Anybody see the movie Eagle Eye yet? In case you're interested, it had one of those Skynet themes going..."Dude, it was amazing. Whoever wrote it was really tripping though. Man, it must have taken months for him to think up all that crazy crap. Like the machine being able to read lips or tell what words were being said through vibrations in water. That was awesome. Actually, the difference between Skynet and Arya was that Skynet going rogue was a matter of self-preservation whereas Arya believed that what she was doing was for the greater good of the nation. But other than that I see what you mean. Also, why is it that in every movie that uses a rampant AI as a plot device, it's always the one with the most power. Take Eagle Eye for example, or Terminator, or I-Robot. Why is it that these super-powerful computers are created and given absolute power over everything from our finances to our nuclear arsenal? You'd think that the smart thing to do would be after creating a supercomputer like that, the logical thing to do would be to build two more equally powerful computers that can circumvent any rogue actions. Take Neon Genesis Evangelion for example (not that anyone here would be familiar with that anime), even though the organization's entire network and infrastructure was run by a super-computer, it was composed of three different aspects of the creator's personality. 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"Anybody see the movie Eagle Eye yet? In case you're interested, it had one of those Skynet themes going..."I finally saw it on Blu-ray this month. I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!!! LOL IT was so intense. It's like a realistic take on Skynet Defense network. Also I did reasearch and a lot of the devices in the world could be monitored. My new laptop computer for instance came with a built in microphone and camera. I wonder if the government is watching me type this right now. Also cell phones can record audio of people who are 200 ft away fairly clearly. What could stop the government from useing these as mic to hear us when our phones are supposivly off. If you guys seen GPS systems. GPS is created by the government, so they could be watching our everymove. Traffic cameras and security systems are all linked to a network. Wonder if they can control them remotely huh? I've learned that you can hack anything with a network connection such as a PS3, I-Phone, Laptop, cellphone, security system. The only this is mission now is are we being watched right now on this site? You never know. Also if I were to make a movie it would be simular to this. Read my fan fiction and you will know what I mean. Do you find this valuable? |

I've heard the Eagle Eye movie got terrible reviews. Out of 165 reviews, only 27% gave it a positive review. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/eagle_eye/For a real life robotic hunter-killer (HK) weapon system taking out the bad guys, take a look at some terrorists killed by an HK: http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/asiapcf/01/08/pakistan.alqaeda/index.html?iref=newssearch Do you find this valuable? |

That computer made so many dumb mistakes. First half of the movie it was smart but then it made errors which can only be explained to further the plot. A real turn-off.
