Nuclear plat

Seen the episode but dun really understand what is the meaning of the nuclear plant to skynet and techcom. If the plant is sabotaged and goes boom.. no one gets control of it in the future and millions in the present dead. The millions dead wouldn't do any benefit to skynet as they will be dead anyway. The fact that resistance captured it in the future shows it as being a skynet base and since it is, it has a strategic value to skynet and resistance. Why would skynet engineer its own base destruction? 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

because the humans captured it in the future, and skynet wants to keep it out of their hands.

That nuclear plant is used by the resistance in the future, so Skynet wanted it to melt down. When that was averted, CW stepped in and automated the factory. This makes it easier for Skynet to take over its operation in the future.

Yes but melting it down will also keep the plant out of skynet's hands. Wouldn't that do harm to skynet also.

Before it is used by resistance. It is used by skynet. So maybe skynet wanted it to meltdown hoping john and his team in the present would stop it and CW would step it to automate it. Its was counting on john and his team to stop it cuz at the end, you can hear the rep saying due to the accident, we are automating the plant to prevent human errors..

Which brings up to the unknown dead resistance fighter. Was he sent by skynet to leak the plant info on purpose so that john and his team would act in a way planned by skynet. Think about it, bullet wounds. Terminators in the future dun use bullets. Only the resistance use it. Perhaps the resistance are trying to stop him

maybe skynet controls other nuclear plants so losing one is not critical
