As much as I want to see a resolution/answers for Cameron's story, this was still one seriously kick-ass episode.

I don't see how anyone can't like it -- tonight's episode proved why: it's got the nice stuff for women, and some crazy action for the guys, all rolled into one.

So I am assuming that's the only Terminator they are going to send after Bedell or however you spell his name? Hmm.. Do you find this valuable?

"I got the feeling she was too late. "She's on her way." Sarah said on the phone."
Ahhhhh, Ok. I must have missed that. :)

I was trying to find something "sinister" with Cameron again, wasnt I....lol

"Alright just finished watching tonight's episode a minute ago. I'd like to start off by saying tonight's viewing experience was overwhelmingly improved by the commercial breaks being reduced in length (3 minutes to a minute) and less frequent. Hope more episodes will be like this.

Onto the actual episode, there wasn't really that much blood-bumping excitement as I had hoped but still easily beats out the 2nd and 3rd episodes of Season 2. Derek future "flashback's" were a great addition to the episode and it's somewhat chilling to see both the present day Bedell and the future soldier version, even more when we learn about his fate in Derek's future.

The kid Bedell came off at first as an obnoxious... well, kid, just as the writers probably intended it to be. But it was very nice to see the kid's development from a spoiled brat into a more polite and reasonable child. It seems that Sarah's having some trouble adjusting to being a "mom" again in this episode. I really loved the Sarah/kid Bedell interaction this episode. Now if only Riley could have had a one-episode adjustment from being spoiled to nice as well.

Onto the topic of Cameron. I was so relieved to see Cameron acting "normal" again instead of the quirkly and glitchy one we've seen since Season 2 started. I wonder if she's perfectly normal now or we just haven't seen her gitching out this episode. But I really don't care too much, I'm very glad to see the Cameron I've come to know.

Will make a separate reply to talk about the Derek/John storyline."
Now I thought Cameron was still glitching because why would she just grab the kid and also randomly say John's name almost like she was missing him. And the random things that she was doing with the kid and that was why Sarah sent her to watch the kids parents.

The Derek/John storyline was pretty awesome as well, we finally get to see Derek's "war" side and his general combat expertise. No more "sidekick Derek" this episode, he was large and in charge. The scene where Derek fires his first shots at the T-888 had me wondering if something was going to happen to him, judging by the way he ran away from the T-888 it seemed the sniper rifle was really slowing him down, and the speed at which the terminator ran. And we finally see John manning up and risking his life by distracting the T-888 in order to save Bedell, it was extremely brave of him, I doubt I would be able to do what John did if I was in his place. The kid-Bedell's voice-over of the Wizard of Oz during the Derek/T-888 scenes were excellent, it was great how the voiceover connected with what was happening on screen. And just when I thought the earlier "tar scene" was just a filler moment explaining Derek's survival skills, they use the nearby tar pits to trap the T-888 and destroy it, that was just really great.

But one thing that really bugged me is, Derek's first shot merely tore away a part of the T-888's flesh covering on the right side of his face. But when the T-888 is trapped inside the tar pit and Derek fires again, it blasts off almost half of the terminator's metal skull. I must have missed something somewhere because that just doesn't seem right to me.

An off-center hit will only tear off what it directly contacts. A direct-center hit at point blank range will send all of the impact energy into the target and break it apart.
Think of it like bowling pins - if you hit them in just the right spot, they all go down.

In the tar scene he was closer maybe (Shrugs) I was wondering the same thing.

"We all die for you John".

Man, that's the stuff right there. John managed to 'Man Up' a little bit tonight. I think it's dawning on him that he can't have fun
with the lohan magazines, and Rileys big ass.

25,000 dollars for Coltan steel.
1,250,000 for production line.
3,000 parts, and 20 hours of labor.

Watching Cameron pick up a little kid, then say "Do you want to hear a bed time story?"

Priceless.

"AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!!! :) Great ep!!!

Killing that T-888 in the tar pit..........that was some GREAT special FX!!!!

Cameron was standing in the shadows.....I wonder why.....maybe she was just there just in case they needed help. Or she got there too late.

Great job cast and crew.........cant wait till the 20th!!!!!! :)"
I feel that this was to show how John and Derek did this on their own, that they did it without the aid of a terminator effectively showing John's growth into a military leader, and Derek's overall bad-ass-ness.

Well I'm going to have to wait to see this episode, but I take it there are no scenes like:

John fires a gun: "Ow! I hurt my pinky!"

Sarah: "There, there John, it'll be alright"

Derek and Cameron look at each other and roll their eyes

Hmm I guess that might qualify as glitchy. I just assumed Cameron's odd behavior was due to her lack of children interaction experience. In retrospect it does seem like Cameron's still having a few loose screws inside that head of hers, but at least she's improved noticeably compared to previous episodes.

LMAO!!! :D Yeah, I was shocked by that too!

For those who didnt notice, when Derek fired the rifle the first time, he hit the 888 in the chest, the shrapnel knocked his eye out....look closer.

And Cameron seemed fairly normal to me...thought she did seem a bit "out there"....not paying attention much. But she was in full terminator mode...no question.
