I would give it about 6 months or so before you hear back....thats how long it took mine to arrive.

But it's worth the wait :) Do you find this valuable?

I am now depressed, i am too much of a woose to send a letter (Wouldn't know what to write). *Sigh* (Literally i am sighing, 20 times so far) *Sigh* Do you find this valuable?

Agreed. It does seem her manager saves them up and she sits down for a few hours and goes through them.

I'd like to think that the old agency would forward the letters, but I could just as easily see it being lazy and dumping them. I guess I'll find out in a few months.

And, summerglau4ever, all you need to do is write a polite letter to the address linked upthread and include a photo to have signed and return postage. I've never written a fan letter before, but just kept it short and respectful. Do you find this valuable?

It's not just a few hours. Well, I'll just quote her mother here,

"Summer has been crazy busy and it’s not letting up. She spent the better part of last week working on her fan mail, so hopefully some of those people who have been waiting patiently will receive pics, etc. soon."

Yes, it gives you an idea of how much mail she gets. When I saw her at the Serenity event in November she did say she appreciates all of it though. And she does read the letters.

For the 15 seconds I got to meet Summer and take a picture and just basically stand next to her in all my fangirlness it was totally worth the long long wait on the sidewalk and I am keeping my signed dvds and poster under lock and key!

Well not really, I framed the poster and I still keep my dvds out and just tell everyone to be careful if they touch it cuz it's "sacred." :P

Summer's sig. is a little smudged on my DVD case unfortunately but that happened during the signing on the way down the table so.. that's ok. ^^

Don't be too nervous in sending Summer a letter you guys. You want her to know how much we appreciate her right? Do you find this valuable?

How many of those people do you think are going to sell those autographs for hundreds online? Do you find this valuable?

A bit of info......if you have a picture to get autographed..thats cool, but you dont HAVE to have one. I was one of those ones who didnt have a pic already

I just sent her a fan letter :) and she signed one of her TSCC promo pics (the one with her in the leather outfit).....it was very cool and sweet of her :) I have it in a display case on my desk Do you find this valuable?

There is a member here who sent her two pics he printed out himself. She signed and personalised them both, *and* signed and personalised an official glossy pic.

I thinks it's great that she personalises the autographs; they should have some personal meaning to the recipient and not be a commodity to be bought and sold. Do you find this valuable?

When I wrote and sent my fan letter everyone was talking about how you needed to enclose a pic of Summer for her to sign. I was disappointed and didnt think she would send me one, since i didnt have one....but she did! :) And it was personalized too! Very sweet of her :)
