"lol, it's ok! I wouldn't mind it myself. Especially after that Riley kiss...

I swear I actually cringed when I saw that. I don't hate the girl, I just don't want her with John! >_> "
I agree. Cam/John FTW!

"If Skynet determines Ellison is a threat, than his affiliation with Weaver must have something to do with this. The Turk is not Skynet, nor will it become Skynet. It's Catherine Weaver's pet project for some unkown puprose. Maybe, just maybe, The Turk is the only thing that can take down Skynet. Think back to what Any Goode said. These chess platforms are to smart to play aganist humans, they play each other instead. The Turk could become the only thing capable of taking down Skynet. Fight fire with fire. "
I think it's safe to say by now that Weaver has a different agenda than the original Skynet. She's still evil, but I don't think this is the original Skynet she plans on launching. She wants to creation of something different. Whatever the case, I'm sure it's something SHE wants to be in charge of.

Remember what's been said in Terminator mythology about the T-1000. Skynet was very afraid its of the T-1000 itself because it had created something very powerful and self-aware. Weaver might be a step further in that direction.

The fact that Weaver wants to use Ellison (and the child psychologist) to her advantage and the fact that Skynet wanted Ellison (and maybe the child psychologist) dead says that there are differences between Weaver and the Skynet in this particular timeline.

Yeah. Weaver's agenda is still evil, but different somehow. Maybe she is trying to make Skynet more humanlike, so when they wipe out humanity, they have something to replace it.

I still think that it would be cool if Cameron starts to love John and that goodness rubs off on her actons, and on the other side Catherine learning to mother Savannah has a good effect on her.

It changes the game... and it again establishes that these advanced models "get it" too. They begin to value life over death and question what they are about.

That's why I think it would be SOOOOOOOOO interesting if (as we've discussed on other threads) Cameron, herself, is able to reproduce to create a special type of hybrid with John (like a nanite enhanced version of an I-950), and she gets first hand knowledge of the miracle of birth. This would be towards the pinnacle of John and Cameron's relationship.

Cameron is shown every so often looking at her growing belly in wonder and running her hand over it as if trying to comprehend. She looks startled and calls to John. He comes over, concerned because of the look on her face.

John [rushing to her side]: "What is it? What's wrong, Cam?"

Cameron [looks up at John with wide-eyed shock]: "She moved John." [something wonderous comes over her face, and tears start rolling down her cheeks] "She... kicked. Our baby kicked."

John carefully places his hand on her stomach... and smiles as he feels his daughter move inside Cameron.

Cameron [the tears are flowing freely now, she fixes her gaze on John and he couldn't look away even if he tried]: "I understand, John. I understand... everything."

Oh, knock it off, C4CP is talking about the miracle of life here. Besides, what the heck are you doing eating breakfast this early? Anyway, that reminds me of how that sort of revelation would go down.

First, the revelation that Cameron is capable of fertility:

John, Sarah, Derek, Charlie, Jesse, and Ellison (sure, why not all of them) are all enjoying a quiet breakfast at the Connor household. Cameron enters dining area.
John: "Mornin' Cam"
Cameron: "Good morning John. Good morning everyone."
Everyone else grumbles "mornin'" to varying degrees of unenthusiasm.
John: "You sure took a while in the bathroom, how long does it usually take you to shower?"
Cameron: "Approximately 12.8 minutes to properly rinse, lather, and repeat to sufficiently wash hair and body. However, when drying myself I noticed that I was secreting blood from an orofice."
John: *concerned* "Were you wounded?"
Cameron: "It wasn't a wound, somewhere else. A diagnostic revealed heightened levels of hormone production in my biological system as well as cellular nanite construction of new organs under my endoskeleton similar to that of an organic reproductive system."
There's a distinct pause among the group, the tinkering silverware on ceramic plates replaced by silence as everyone slowly digests that information.
Cameron: "Analysis suggests I'm undergoing process identical to a monthly cycle that improves fertility among female organisms. My first period."
Suddenly the silence is broken by forks and knives being dropped on plates and John choking violently on his orange juice while Sarah rubs her head feeling a migraine coming.
Derek: "I've lost my appetite."
Sarah: "Charlie, you wouldn't happen to know a gynecologist we can trust, would you?"

Okay, okay, once again a thread that devolves into whether Cam can either have sex or have babies.

Anyway...the writers seem hell-bent this season to drive as big a stake between John and Cam as possible. I can't imagine a bigger backpedal than what they've done this year. It's really pissing me off. If we can just have some kind of reconciliation scene, even an innocent one where they lie in bed together, just talking, would make me happy.

Is that too much to ask? We don't need to see Cam roll over and rip John's pants off - we've got fanfic for that. But just a little bit of kindness from John would do wonders for my faith in the show.

Contd.

Cameron strides over to the kitchen counter, grabs the plate with all of the remaining pancakes needed to sustain the nanites working in her body. Cameron moves to the seat next to John, currently occupied by Ellison.
Cameron: "That's MY seat. Move."
Ellison: *at a loss for words*
Cameron: "Now."
Ellison quickly gathers his plate and moves to a new seat at the table away from Cameron, who prompty sits down, scoots her seat closer to John, and begins eating the pancakes while shooting deathglares at Jesse, being the only other fertile female that could come between her and John despite the fact that she was already steady with Derek.
Derek: "A machine with PMS. As if my life wasn't enough of a living hell as it is."

Doubtful. Riley is in the picture through episode 13, though the implications fo the Leven Rambin interview suggest that it may be done between her and John at that point.

Then again, it is sweeps. If I had to guess, this will just be a teaser for something that won't live up to shipper hype, just to get people watching. It may later be passed off as a "planting the seeds moment", if we're lucky.

I haven't seen the preview unfortunately because I have to keep up watching the show online (the Netherlands :( )
I'm a shipper, absolutely!
But only a nice talk, them being "normal" or on the same level as in Season 1 to eachother again would make me happy! Them being so weird around eachother has lasted long enough... time for some positive change!!! :D

And yeah... a little kiss on the cheek wouldn't hurt :D

Buffy Summers and Spike didn't get along either before they suddenly had brutal sex in Season 6.

It reminds me of that infamous scene in "Irréversible". I hope nothing like that happens to Cameron next week.

"Buffy Summers and Spike didn't get along either before they suddenly had brutal sex in Season 6."
But everyone *hated* it. It's been generally conceded to have been poor storytelling, though even there note that it was presented as being an extention of the traumatic changes to Buffy, as well as a perverse "death wish" between the two.

I'm having difficulties coming up with any member of the creative staff of Buffy who ever had nice things to say about that bit. Hell, Joss Whedon is on record as having substantial regrets on continuing past season 5, which is shocking; the man is his own greatest fan. Do you find this valuable?

Interesting argument. But I don't buy it. I could go further, but it's off-topic.

Back on-topic, this is just what many needed - Cameron and John talking to each other again. That they're in bed is just an extra bonus.

Actually, every single episode of Buffy seems like a work of art compared with the horror they call Season 8.
