"Fast affiliate overnights are in... as I expected: 5.16 million viewers, 2.0 rating in the demo. Prison Break only a little bit better: 5.24million viewers, 2.1rating in the demo."
Was everyone watching political coverage? Is that why NBC didn't have a new episode of Heroes? They were afarid the same thing would happen.

WOW! That's shockingly bad. Maybe it has something to do with election day coming up(I hope). Depressing numbers. Good thing we got the back 9 at least.

I'm not going to worry about season 3 until we see the numbers for T:SCC in the '09 line up. They could get a better time slot and a decent lead in. That could be a game changer. Do you find this valuable?

I read something interesting a couple of days ago about why networks are apparently keeping shows that have "okay" numbers instead of simply scrapping them.

Since the economic crisis has hit us, there's been less money to do ANYTHING, shows included. there apparently aren't many sure-fire lineup shows for 09 like there were for 07 and 08. Basically, Fox is playing it safe by keeping a show thats doing "alright" rather then waste money and advertising on a show that has a 50?50 chance of flopping or succeeding. TSCC right now is guarenteed an audience. another show might not be. So the fact that TSCC got the back nine is most likely because Fox is unwilling to take the risk of a new show flopping in a time when they can't afford to have flops.

I'm not sure, I think it was on the news somewhere, and I thought "that makes so much sense."

so, in a way, this economic crisis is good for us. If Fox had been at its top, with a lineup of sure-fire, Heroes-grade Pilots ready, we probably wouldn't have even seen all 13 episodes, never mind the back 9.

I think the only chance the show has of getting a S3 is if they change the time slot for the second half of the season, maybe pairing it with 24 or Bones, and the ratings make a considerable jump.

If not, and it stays in the 5 mil range, a 3rd season pickup seems unlikely to me.

"Prison break has been beating us."
Prison Break doesn't beat us. It's not on opposite us. It might get slightly better numbers but that isn't beating SCC. Only shows on other networks at the same time beat us.

It doesn't even make sense ot watch the ratings until they move the show to another night or give it a good lead-in. It will continue to get trounced opposite the dumb dancing show and monday night football. Move the freaking show FOX! Pairing with 24 anyone??

It is, thats because there timeslot is some what better then ours. 8:00PM on a Monday night is just asking to be killed. If they move it to Wednesday, it wont have competition, and you will see the numbers sky rocket.. I gurantee that.

I read the same thing.

Cheaper to maintain the status quo than start something new.

Wasn't Fox's original plan to pair "24" and "Terminator TSCC" together before the writers strike. I always thought Terminator would do well with "24" fans like me.

I think the ratings are down cause of the election....but last night's episode was amazing and I think people Tivo, dvr, download, or will watch online later...thus I predict the ratings are going for record high for the upcoming episodes.
