One of the shows involves funky killer robots, bible quotes he doesn't understand, time-travel paradoxes that don't make much sense in his head, while the other show is just about people dancing. Which one is Joe gonna watch, when he just finishes a hard day of work, on a Monday, brains are already over-taxed, feels sleepy, and pays more attention to food than dialogs? I wouldn't be surprised if the show was granted the back nine in preparation for the T4 movie, and the writers, producers, Friedman, etc. were told to make sure to end the season good, because of the slim chances of gaining additional seasons. TV industry background also helps me with this guess, so, it's not completely uneducated, I promise. Unfortunately, deals like this are presented all the time.
