"Console games are graphically awesome, but often limited in scope. I'm a gamer if you are talking PC games, like MMORPGs. I hate linear games because you can't do something outside of the box and I'd much rather have a thinking opponent than one that does the same thing every time.

"Well, i've noticed that there seems to be a good amount of gamers on this board so I thought it'd be a good idea to create an OT thread where we can share friend codes and XboxLive tags and what not!

And of course to talk about games. I absolutely LOVE video games and yes, i'm one of those few gamer chicks out there. We are here! It IS possible for girls to like video games I swear! :D

Well, I had a question for you guys. I recently got a job and I've been saving up money to buy either an Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 (I already have a Wii btw)... I have enough money for a 360 and i'm pretty much leaning toward getting one right now, but i'm kinda having a dilemma!

The only console i've had for the past 4 years has pretty much been a Playstation 2 which I totally LOVE to death! Sony has never let me down and i've spent many an hour playing happily on my obsolete PS2 even 2 years since the next generation of consoles arrived.

So, I guess I have somewhat of an affinity towards Sony, but that's just bias on my part. What i'm worried about with the Xbox 360 is the INSANELY HIGH failure rate! (16% AHHH!) The pros of the 360 is of course all the great games out for the console and the great online support. Playstation 3 pros = Blu-Ray, much lower failure rate, and of course my slight affection/bias that comes from my love for the PS2.

So... which one should I get? O_O"

I'm the opposite, I'm a total PVP fan. I also like rolling with a few tight squads that fight like seal teams. We played the gimp side in City of Heroes / City of Villians and won anyway in the sucide zone called RV in an open declared, weekly pvp event.

It's always a compliment when you get invited to talk to the gaming devs since they gave you wet noodles for a gunfight and you win anyway. =) Unfortunately, it can be like being the President and your eight years are up. How the heck do you find that kind of pinnacle again? =/

"Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm a huge PvP fan, I'm just more of a Lonewolf / PK type ;p

Small teams / gank squads are nice, but finding a good one is a real pain in the ass, especially in WoW. World PvP is dead and Cross realm battlegrounds killed "realm interractions", all thats left for you to do is scan trade chat, hoping you'll hit a gold mine, more often than not, you won't. so I just gave up :)
