You all seem to be missing the point. The inconsistencies in the the characters behavior creates suspense. A sense of disorder and chaos. Which is kind of the whole point of the show. These few people are carrying the burden of preventing the destruction of life as we know it. If it was consistent and orderly it wouldn't seem like such a hard task now would it? But more importantly the fact that you care about how the characters act, the fact that you have a strong opinion shows that you have connected with the characters on some level. You care about where this story is going, and it's outcome. Connection is all the writers can ask for. Every twist and turn has a point and the fact that the writers have been able to create a story line that makes people talk, makes them respond... That is a beautiful thing. Instead of questioning the behavior of these people maybe you should be asking yourselves how these behaviors effect the story.
Ex: Sooner or later John is going to find out what Riley is really doing. This is going to have a major effect on the story. Possibly pushing him towards Cameron.
Derek is thorough. Jesse's secrets won't be secrets forever. How is this going to effect their relationship. will Derek havd to choose between true love and duty?
Cameron's freak outs cement the idea that the terminators can't be trusted. It creates a love hate relationship. Suspense, danger. What more can you ask for?

"..... Like when she let the Armenian girl and her brother die, when the gangsters came for them. When she Killed the guys in the boiling alley (eventhow they where a real security risk). As Cromartie said she has made mistakes, and her Chip has some damage, which I hope the writers address soon. I do see some emotions and personality trends developing in her, e.i. she seemed pissed when her leather jacket was robbed....when she "chose" to what music to listen to in the car, ....I think that the writers are going to take they sweet time developing this aspect of Cameron, not to mention any feeling towards John. ...."
Well said. The Armenian deaths (the girl + her boyfriend) and the bowling alley deaths was uncool. Cameron figured that the future was better off with their deaths, and its hard to argue with that. Judgement Day is a very serious thing, and to calculate a few deaths in there is probably worth it, but tough to take. The writers made that abundantly clear when the surviving bowling alley kid triggered the whole "Mr. Ferguson is Ill Today" episode, and I guess Sarah or Cameron should have "offed" the bowling alley kid after all. Thats a tough one. I'd have probably have done what Sarah did, and the future of the world would be in jeopardy because of it. Judgement call about Judgement Day, is the theme of this show.

Well said. Can't add anything to that. The writers are creative.

"Hehe, feeling the Lena fever, eh?

Welcome to the club. Summer's been running through my mind all day. She must be tired by now. :)"
I always have Lena Fever Mazaki.

You should know that by now.

"This is a bit off topic, but that had crossed my mind as well. Cameron is asking if he thinks about committing suicide, and then knowing it will hurt him tells wheelchair guy he has cancer and waits for him to off himself. Then he never reports in the next night."
We are optimistic. Surely Eric checked into a hospital like Cameron suggested.

Exactly, he checked himself in. Also, what is Lena fever? She's hot, and so is Summer, but I really get distracted when Shirley Mason shows up. :)
Sorry, but I like her more, and shame on no one saying anything before me. :(

""The inconsistencies in the the characters behavior creates suspense. A sense of disorder and chaos. Which is kind of the whole point of the show.""
I disagree completely. You have to reward the viewers for watching, by fulfilling their expectations. To quote a realist, "Clever things make people feel stupid, and unexpected things make people feel scared!". There's a reason that formulaic shows get high ratings, and unconventional shows get low ratings. It's because the formulas work.

Here's a formula that works: there have been dozens of shows on television with a robotic or cybernetic character, and they almost always play the character as a fish-out-of-water in human culture for both humor and interest. Terminator hardly ever does that. For instance, I would have loved to have seen Cameron's talk with the psychologist, instead of just hearing about it off screen. It would have been great comic relief, which is badly needed in this gloomy pre-apocalyptic show.

I also totally agree that we need to see the characters start working together instead of perpetually sabotaging and undermining each other. Judgement Day is, what, about 800 days away? The characters need to stop chasing chess computers in 2-man teams, put their differences aside, and kick this mission into high gear.

I almost agree. Not quite. Certainly, in the entertainment world of Hollywood, the writers know things need to make sense within the context of the show. And there should be closure to make it all work well together. Mystery along the way, with some erratic behavior (just like real life) is cool and entertaining. Can't be boring. ...... Your point about "fish-out-of-water" is not really true in this show, as many times we've seen Cameron behave somewhat culturally inappropriate.

If you could take one look at a puzzle scattered across a table and instantly know where all the pieces go. Would you still do the puzzle? It isn't all about instant gratification. Yeah some things don't make sense, and sometimes the characters don't behave the way you expect them to. But it makes you want to stay tuned to figure it out. If the writers made everything predictable and obvious what would be the point in tuning in week after week? Do you find this valuable?

True, but it's because I/we are so into the show/story/characters, that I would feel more comfortable if the characters would at least share information with each other. Cameron should at least tell the Connors about the Myron Stark T-888....
