Terminator Revolution
Dec 18 2008, 12:53 PM EST
I don't know if you guys are aware of this, but aside from movies, television, and that badass light-gun arcade game, the Terminator franchise has had an extensive relationship with another entertainment medium: comic books. A lot of stories have been told in the pages of comics, and there's actually an omnibus or two.The most recent foray into the world of comics is the new series T2: Revolution, a sequel to another five-part comic series T2: Infinity. Infinity takes place just a few years after T3, where we learn that Kate Brewster died in the shelter, and follows John Connor's first encounter with the leaderless and unorganized Resistance. It also introduces a new Terminator, the T-Infinity, which is sent from 2033 to multiple timelines in order to Terminate any and all inconsistencies and rogue elements that bring certain timelines off-balance, which makes for a good explanation for the existence of the TSCC timeline. I think there's a compilation out there, I highly recommend you check it out online or at your local comic book shop. In Revolution, the plot takes place several years later and John Connor's effectively the leader and badass we expect him to be plus he's got a new wife. What caught my attention, and what might interest the rest of you TSCC fans, is that in a flashback to another timeline we see a post-T2 Sarah Connor and it definitely looks like the artist went with the Lena Headey look. Anyway, it's worth mentioning and if you're interested just hit any place that sells comic books, although I really think you should read Infinity first as it really ties into Revolution and the background summary inside the front cover doesn't do it justice. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?
