throwing cam thru the window with the terminator nowhere in sight just felt wrong. maybe we couldve seen his POV showing extensive damage to his endoskeleton as hes limping away, or cam coughing up one of his fingers. cam taking that long to reboot also felt wrong

"When I was watching the ep, I assumd that th eT-888 knocked Cam out somehow then threw her through the window from a great distance. do you think its possible for him to throw her that far?Since when has a Terminator avoided getting shot? Terminators are usually very straight forward on acquiring of there targets. The only Terminator that is the exception is Cromartie in Mouse Trap. However later in "Mr Ferguson is ill" he just walked right into the church. Overall when a Terminator is trying to acquire its target it is fearless and unrelenting. The Terminator in "Good Bye to all that" takes a .50 Browning round to the head and still keeps coming. No backing off to re-think its strategy. If we think back to the scene we have this. After Cameron flies through the window Sarah checks her out and she is unresponsive. The dog then starts barking and runs outside. Lauren Fields then looks out the window and there is no Terminator in view. The dog then runs behind trees and is killed. They then see the Terminator start walking down the driveway and the distance is fairly great over 50 feet because there is time for David Fields to confront the Terminator and then time for Anne and Sarah to escape. The Terminator walking down the driveway was done for suspense and they didn't want to show the dog getting killed. The overall continuity of the scene with Cameron flying through the window wast not done very well. If the Terminator was that close to through Cameron through the window then why did he retreat to the treeline to then walk down the driveway? After Cameron flies through the window there is time for Sarah to check out Cameron and then have time to have a Dramatic conversation with David Fields. There is then time for a another Dramatic conversation inside the house with Sarah, Anne and Lauren before Sarah and Anne escape. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

The desire to not go with the chemistry btw Dekker and Summer and develop that character dynamic. I hope the back 9 makes up for it.

"#1- Depleted Uranium shells do not exist for 12 Gauge Shotgun shells. The only reason that DU rounds are used in military rounds is for extra penetration. A 12Gauge DU round wouldn't gain much extra penetration from using DU rounds. That is why the military doesn't use it. If a 12Gauge DU round would stop a tank they would just arm infantry with 12 Gauge shotguns instead of Javelins ATGM. A 12Gauge shotgun shell and a 120mm APFSDS shell are in completely different realms of penetrating pwoer. So, how come Garret explained that's what they used for the shotgun to take him down. :) Also, you apparently missed a good number of forum threads about that, proving that shotgun shells with DU exist. :) I don't know the links right off the bat, but I'm certain you can find them. I was being silly about the tank. As for extra penetration, aren't most DU rounds used only in vulcan cannons? :) M-16s, AK-47s, etc, they fail at firing DU rounds, I think. I don't think they have special ammo designed. PLus, what are you talking about Cheapening the whole mystique? If I ram a metal rod, hmm, I thought he used his fist, through your heart, you're going to die, period. Same thing with the power-core of a Terminator. You remove that, it dies, I don't see how it's cheapens them to have a weakness. And while I do agree with the grenade, I don't still get the whole complaints about the throwing through a window? I just don't understand the complaint. 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Oh, here's a link or so."19:14 Dan (Writer) re: the rounds in the shotgun, our resident experts on that stuff are Ash Miller and Zack Stentz. They researched it and it's a special round with a depleted uranium core. They actually exist." Transcript found here: http://terminatorwiki.fox.com/page/Transcript+of+LIVE+Chat+with+T%3ASCC+Cast+Member?t=anon Of course, even regular shells may have worked given Cameron's amazing aim. I'm pretty sure she put four or five rounds straight into Cromartie's eye socket. (Likely the least-armored spot on his body.) Do you find this valuable? |

"So, how come Garret explained that's what they used for the shotgun to take him down. :)I have been on those discussion about DU 12Gauge Shotgun shells and nobody has been able to produce a link. As far as I can determine the writers just made it up. There is APS 12G rounds that use Tungsten not DU. If we consider that a 12gauge DU round would have to start equaling the penetrative power of a .50 Browning round to start causing damage and a 12Gauge shotgun doesn't put out enough power to start matching a .50 Browning. They could have easily have used the Barrett again, instead they went silly with 12G DU rounds. DU is usually used in 20mm rounds if extra penetration is needed. Sometimes they use Tungsten because it doesn't create the hazard that DU rounds can. Tanks are heavy users of DU rounds since by the time that you get to 120mm a DU round adds quite a bit of extra penetrative power. How easily Cromartie killed the Terminator cheapened it. Not even a fight nothing. It just felt like another Terminator of the week scene. Refer to my earlier posts about throwing through the window. How this scene was filmed doesn't make much sense. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

problem is, when people think shotguns, they dont think armor piercing. shotguns have always been used either to destroy close-range single or medium-range bunched targets, or breaching entrances

"That is great. Where is the reference from there research? I have been all over Google looking for DU 12G rounds and I cannot find a thing. "I have no clue. That's all my reasearch showed as well. You might want to contact the writers themselves. :( Oh, and I concede the point of cheapness. Also, I don't think the browning .50 cal is the only gun capable of damaging them. You'll be interested to know you can also have some weird types of shotgun shells made. Ranging from razor-wire. No, I'm not joking, to a 100 foot long uber-flamethrower in a shell. Dragon's breath. I'll throw you the link in a minute or so. But yes, even a .44 magnum would damage a Terminator. :) A .50 cal Desert Eagle will stun them and damage them, plus, their face is the weakest armored part. Look what a blast from the .50 cal did to the Term in the pitch pit. :) 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Blasted edit fail. Uh, what hazards around Depleted Uranium? It's use in Radiatiion shielding, so I don't think Radiation is a concern. It's used in armor, and last time I checked, you don't violate laws of hazardous material stuff by owning it.

"1. dumping the school arcs unceremoniously100% agree. Plus for me. 6. Cameron be "thrown" through that window... then being out for more then 120 seconds. 7. Yes Caesis, Rileys introduction to the show. In fact, thats my #1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, and 10. 8. Emo John 9. John becoming EMO because he killed a guy saving his mom's ass, then blames her!. *.. Complete BS .. * and ..*Utterly Unbelievable* .. 10. The bloody FOX wall. At first, I thought it was a good idea, until I found out FOX wanted "Stand Alones", and that was how they decided to do it. 11. The Tree Dots... All three of them. 3 out of 3 found this valuable. The complex storylines can be very confusing at timesThings put into the story that dont seem to fit...such as the 3 dots Episodes that are ok, but that dont fit the larger storyline...such as the one about the 1920's terminator. Very cool ep, but it just didnt seem to fit the big picture. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

It didn't make any sense continuity wise with what they had showed Terminators vulnerable to from in previous shows. They had a Terminator take a direct hit in the head from a .50 Browning round and then 3 episodes later they have one get blown apart by a 12Gauge shotgun rounds. In my opinion in order for Sci-Fi to be enjoyable there has to be some continuity as far as technology and the effects. We are not talking futuristic weapons here. We are not talking about some future plasma gun blowing a head off. We are talking about a 12gauge shotgun that you can go out and buy. Anyway this was already been previously discussed after Episode 8 aired. Basically in my opinion the writers pulled some serious cheese. They could have easily have said that they were using APDS Tungsten slugs and Cameron was aiming at the eye. Instead they just pulled out the 12Gauge DU round cheese. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Cam hip shot the eye socket with assumed 12G (1+ inch dim) slugs, while walking... But Chrome Dome couldn't hit the broad side of a barn standing still. The whole thing was Cheese. It was more important for them to have the visual of Chrome Dome Splayed out like Jesus Christ in front of the alter, and getting "sacrificed", then it was for any semblance to actual gun fight technics.... Like walking outside and shooting those morons on the roof (no cover). Super cheese.... But I let it slide.... OHOHOHOHOH... then bringing Chrome Dome "Back"... so much for "A Major Character will die TONIGHT!!!" Sometimes I just hate network TV. 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

cardinal rule: never ever ever introduce a terminator and kill/disable/render harmless in the same ep. vick was introduced in the 2nd or 3rd ep, wasnt killed till a few eps later, and even after he was dead (powered off, whatever) they were still learning about him. cromartie was there from the start and had to rebuild his biological covering (freakin genius) whereas we have 1. greenway (and nobody noticed his scar gone, wtf?!) 2. a terminator they didnt even name 3. another terminator they didnt even name although she was hot and bendy 4. another terminator that they didnt even show being killed carter to a lesser extent because he had a name, and cam saved a bar of coltan from that mission myron stark had a huge impact in lore but was dealt in the same ep. they shouldve stretched that out for another ep or something. dying in the same ep hes introduced (and cam discovers him) lessened the impact he had over the last few decades and the lasting impact he would have had 3 out of 3 found this valuable.
