I have Adobe Premiere Pro but it's over my head, so I end up using Windows Movie Maker (barf) most of the time. I had Adobe Premiere Elements one time, but I lost it... it as so much easier to use than Pro. Post reply Do you find this valuable?

It's quite user friendly. As long as you know where the in and out points of the source clips are (on the source monitor) and where the in and out clips on the timeline are.. you're good. There's a tab for effects and just right click on a clip if you want to change the speed and duration of a clip or the audio gain. Also if you want to take the audio away from a clip, just right click and "unlink." If you have any specific questions, just ask. Post reply Do you find this valuable?

Actually, the interface once you get everything set up is about the same as "Elements", and not too bad. The part I have trouble with is the encoding, and having no knowledge of what to choose in the very beginning (sample rates, frame rates, bitrate etc.) and then what to choose once you encode the video at the end. I ended up making a video of clips from a racing event I did but in the end, the video was only half the size of the window (like it had letterboxing and windowboxing black bars). Also, it does not work with the raw avi files off my digital camera, so I gave up on it. Ive been amazed at the quality of some of the fan vids ive seen lately. They look better then some of the fox promo vids. The only tell tale sign they're fan vids are when they show clips of people talking but you can only hear the music. Post reply Do you find this valuable?
