Post your fan questions for the Live Chat

We have an opportunity to have Josh read our questions. Someone suggested to have the forum moderator read them to Josh, because the current format for posting them "sucked."

So, I'm starting this thread so we fans can let it be known what we'd like to see.

Please post your questions here and *maybe* someone of TPTB will see it and take notice, and they will get to the right eyes, ears, hands, minds, - whatever. I'm asking fan rants be kept to a miniimun (since they know we ARE fans), and we use this medium to get something constructive done.

With that in mind, I will keep my submission separate, but you can read it below.

My question is: WHY DON'T we get WHAT we expect: Sarah, John, and his T-protector dynamic...(Cameron)?

This is what I wrote in another thread: "I feel like that experience of watching a show and getting blindsided by a twist is one of the joys of watching a movie or TV or reading a book." This is what Josh said in the interview. he also inferred that his interests in using the Terminator franchise is more importantant than staying consistent witht the canon OF the franchise - and this is the basis for ALL the breaks with reality he has caused us!

I finally got to the bottom of this mystery! As bright and creative as this guy is he is so intent upon "putting his mark" on the stories that he doesn't CARE if they drift away from what we would consider "sensible" within the T-verse...

"...I've said before that I've always been talked out of it by people who are probably saner than I am, who think I'm breaking the rules of time travel and will anger everybody. ...and don't think we've violated too many laws of the Terminator universe."

This guy doesn't really give a damn if the laws of the T-verse are violated. So he wonders why he doesn't have a bigger audience? THAT'S WHY. People expect one thing, get a surprise (which can BE okay: Cameron, Weaver, time travel, etc.) but they DON'T get WHAT they expect: Sarah, John, and his T-protector dynamic...

A always thought they were trying to be "too creative" for their own good (and urs). This proves it for me, waht I've long suspected, but couldn't find the right words. The suits at Fox may have muddle up the works, but the core of the confusion has to do with the Producer's APPROACH to the material. He is leaving the Terminator part out so he has enough room for his clever tricks.

"Sane" in the T-verse is INSANE when viotated

... It's not so much of a chat if we just have someone read off questions.
That's an interview.

Great idea, but I think it's better if people just spam questions and they pick random ones to answer.

After reading the Cromartie chat, my ideas are
Just ask questions
Dont expect he will tell you what will happen in the back nine.
Dont ask the same questions over and over.
& Kincy if you always got what you expected of the characters how long would it take for you to be bored?

Some of your questions are good - thank you for putting them in an organized format - but some of them you absolutely know Josh isn't going to reveal as these have to do with plot - and he's not going to spoil that with millions of dollars hanging in the balance. Come on! (nice try tho)

You know, the "will we find out" questions are probably the ones most likely to be answered. Do you find this valuable?

QUESTION: I haven't been keeping up on this, when and where is this chat (apologies, I've been very busy with studies)?

My question - Are we going to learn more about Allison's story? Obviously Derek has strong opinions about her, is this a generalized hatred towards machines? Or did Derek, Jesse, or any other know Allison? If they knew her personally, it would only exacerbate their hatred towards Cammie, by knowing Cam looks like and was modeled after a dear friend. Also, she was part of John C.'s camp, and Cameron mentioned that "the resistance wasn't the only one interested in Allison, Skynet was too." Allison had a role in the resistance, she had a history, people knew her, so much as Skynet wanted to model after her, so she had influence. What's her story??

I've read a lot of fan plot ideas and I am confident they could come up with enough to keep us busy. They did that with Star Trek for 3 seasons and several more decades worth of spin offs and movies. Yet another is coming out. We already know the story, we know the characters and basically what their respective functions are and how they interact. We even know some of the big bad (Klingons, Romulans), but what we want to see is a fresh perspective on what IS familiar to us.

It's a whole UNIVERSE for cryin out loud! There's LOTS of possibilities. But if they break with what we consider to be laws within this universe - like Spock starts saying "what the frak" we're going to feel VIOLATED.

The moment you say as a writer "i'm not going to do that bc it was done or its to cliche" then you limit yourself and move away from some very core "values" within the story.

As an example, we as fans LOVE the Sarah narrative, but Josh said he cut it out bc it was "corny." What I'm saying is within the T-verse HE doesn't get to make THAT call. He doesn't get to cut Sarah, John, his main point of interest (his cyborg TErminator) OUT of scenes together bc that IS,IS, IS what we CAME to view the show for. But we get "three dots" and it it drags on for most of a year and is STILL as yet unexplained. Big deal!

We are watching the show bc it is SUPPOSED to be about Sarah's CHRONICLES - the time between her death and John's rise. That's INTERESTING. We know she is a tuff chick and is both fighting and protecting her son at the same time. We know we needs help but doesn't want it. We know peril can come from anywhere at any time, and both the help and the threat instantly puts her way over her head - and she doesn't like it.

This is natural drame, within the story. No "artificial" need be made...

Next Question: since Josh reads the fan furom material, would he have any interest in a panel of fan writers operate as a sounding board or council on what ideas we feel keep the T-verse on track or take in in directions that violate T-canon?

Or is this even something that Josh feel merits consideration?

CCK:Didnt Josh say people didnt like Sarah thing? I like it but what there doing is trying to make this into a show, its the thing thats longer than a movie, if it was simple than it be over by now.
Wernt we suppose to keep this professional? Thats my bad.
Q: is Thomas in love with Lena or Summer or both?

Yes hes gonna read it and say, "I should do that." He didnt already have his owns ideas or writers. "Hell, I'll do what that fans want," cause it'll be unexpected, oh wait maybe it would. As a pretend writer I know I do not like to copy, but that me. Plus I think if they'll writing anything it be Season 3 and the fanfic might not apply.

Haha, believe me, if I didn't have a lab (which can't be made up, doing it towards a Masters), I would def. be there! I'll see if someone can copy it for me.

If anything, I'm sure there will always be a next time. :-)
