Codename for the project

Terminator: The Sarah Conners Chronicles - No Fate But What We Make.

All fans welcome to contribute. I lead this Resistance Movement. Fellow Soldiers are part of the "Avid Rabib" Unit.

Are YOU in?

See details in the Promote the show via dev'l of a TSCC Video Game! Who's up for that? thread

Place you Name in the Role call here. Add what contributions you can supply (talent, art, writing, game developer, graphics, computers, music, MySpace/Facebook/YouTube, other Terminator fans sites, other connections, support, well wishes, script ideas, science/tech background and experience), just want to be in on the fun!!!)

Add me as a friend.

State what you'd like to see (overall), and what you'd like to see next.

State what you can do to help make that happen.

State any other skils you think might be of use. (Note: you are placing these in a public forum, so people will know if you punk out later...)

Please state where you think you can best be utilized, in our mutual goal of achieving mission success.

You will be contacted shortly and given further instructions. Chances are, you will be paired with other Unit members, as most assigments are done on a team basis when possible.

Unit rank is provided based on need, merit and production. Some will do the work, some will monitor the work, some will organize the work, some will schedule the work and provide supplies or reports. Some may do all. As a member you agree to go along with the group objectives and sabotage the operation. You agree that you are not a spy or a sell out, or a scared emo wimp. We are tough as Sarah here, and have a heroic task ahead of us.

We want you to know that our strengith is in our numbers, so do be a "secret" agent. Let people know so they can join in to and have fun.

Asta!

Count me in. I can contribute with keeping the Science/Tech stuff in line - not just realistically, but in the Termiverse (as I'm well accustomed to what makes and does not make sense). Plot, mapping, and I'll attempt to help out with coming up with a mathematical model for the battle system. Based on if it's turn based, 2-D, w/e, we'll need a point system for damage, health, etc. that provides a challenge and is within reason.

If we are to work on this, it's probably best to set up a live chat on a messaging system on a set time, so we could brainstorm and stay on the same page.

We'll need to star a convo on the plot and strategy for the game, as well. I'm inviting others to come over so we can have a quorum on these subjects. I really want this to be a democratic and interactive process with TSCC fans.

I would like to see this project go in the direction that I stated in your other thread. An alternative reality game (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alternate_reality_game) could be set up a lot quicker. All we would need is a blog/website, email account and a plot that draws players in (should be easy with this show). In terms of what I can contribute I would say I would be best utilised in plot planning. I have dabbled in web design and can code but only at a basic level. I think the idea of making a good old fashioned video game is excellent however if I'm being honest I have some doubts about the time constraints involved but don't let that dissuade you guys if you decide to go that route because fortune favours the brave.

To sum up if you guys go the ARG route then I would be happy to help, however if you go the video game route then I'd be worse than useless. :-)

I was thinking of starting a new profile called "Asta" - it's what Uncle Bob said when he scattered the liq nitro hardened T-1000. That's an iconic term, and easy to say.

Trying to dev'l our own "cool" lingo around this project: give it some "juice."

Loved you funny bit in the other thread. That just solidified your post as CTO! Now I know the game is in good, creative hands.

TO ALL NEW UNIT MEMBERS: Please send me a message stating how much time you can commit, when you are available, where you are (esp if not in USA) and what time zone you use (EST, PST, etc.) This will help us coordinate our efforts.

I will be doing a roll call for all Unit members to submit their ideas on plot, scripting and character handling and development.

I'll also say it again: we need a fan page so we have one place post all our stuff, and find what others are doing, and stay organized. I don't know how to do that, but anyone that does step up and help me do it, or take on the mission and get it completed and report back to me.

We have a CTO on board: Caesis, and I think I found an XO.

Also, in your message pls include your real name so I know who the heck I'mn really talking to (unless you need to stay incognito bc you work for Fox, TSCC, etc.), and please let me know if it is alright to use you given name in public postings, or who should have access to this roster which amy include "do not publish" names on it.

Asta!

Like I said in the other thread I would love to help in any grass root effort (like this) to keep the show going.

As for skills
I'm more on the computer side (with an obvious focus on AI). The only caveat is that it depends on the scope of the programming side of the project, and the number of other coders willing to help (I don't want to get stuck with programming an entire game by myself).

Also I'm decent with UI design.

Personally I think Daviroo had a pretty cool idea with the ARG. Like I mentioned in the other thread ARG's are a great form of viral advertising and it is much easier to make them look professional (see the ARG's for Lost, Dark Knight, Halo 2 & 3, AI, etc). ARG's are interesting in that they are allowed to blur the line between fiction and reality. An ARG would also allow us to pull in some of the amazing writing talent we have on the forum.

That's up to us. The uniqueness of this project is it is by us and FOR us. That way, we have no one to bitch about if we don't like it.

Or, we can just shut up, sit back and take whatever TPTB shell out.

I'm not that kinda cat. You?

So we get together, get pro-active, and DO something. What that is, again, is up to us.

What do you suggest?

Alstough, I would hope you would sign in on the "AVid Rabid" Unit roll call and let the ohter members know you are locked and loaded and combat ready!

Stand up and be counted (on).
