"Been surfing these boards and I'm seeing all the love for Summer Glau/ Cameron and that's all well and good. But we need some love for Lena. So here's her thread. If you love Lena and her awesome portrayal of Sarah Connor give a shout. She get's hotter every week. She's a dynamic actress and I feel that she's taking Sarah to another level. So share the love cause Lena rocks. "
Fantastic thread. I like Summer/Cameron myself but I LOVE Lena. She's absolutely about one of my favorite actors. She plays Sarah so well. I liked Linda Hamilton as Sarah but Lena brings a softness to the character that makes her a more rounded character IMO. But I think there's room for love for both actresses. They each make Sarah Connor their own. Lena's ability in the Some Must Sleep episode to play basically two storylines in the same episode cemented my respect for her. On a smaller and more shallow note...she's also gorgeous. To me (having read a later post) Lena is #1 in the "hottest chicks in Sci-Fi" category, hands down.

"I like Linda's Sarah. The movies rock and I wouldn't want anyone else in those movies. But I DO prefer Lena's portrayal better. Maybe it's because she's had the opportunity to really get into the character and show SO many different sides of Sarah that Linda didn't really have that opportunity."
What you say about Linda's lack of opportunity beyhond the 3 hours in each movie was a very very good point that I actually hadn't thought of. Linda's Sarah started out innocent in T1 and immediately was the hardened emotionless Sarah in T2. And she was brilliant in both sides She didn't have the opportunity to show what brought her from point A to B that Lena's getting to do. As I said in my earlier post...I think it's possible to admire each actress and their portayal equally.

That's why I think the big Sarah story arc was so important. Because we never did get to see that transition between innocent waitress to hardened psycho warrior. And because Sarah did have a 2 year break.. it makes perfect sense for her to go through that transition again but this time we get to go through that transition with her.

Lena playing the gritty, serious role should have won her an Emmy. Casting Lena gave us a scowl most pirates would be jealous of while at the same time being incredibly attractive. I never thought someone could look so good hitting a punching bag (at least not since Swank in Million Dollar Baby, anyway).....They should have written her tattoos into the show somehow, since I don't think it would have been out of character for Sarah to have them, too.

It would be out of character but it also wouldn't. Sarah seems like a woman who would have tattoos but because she's staying off the grid and away from law enforcement I think she wouldn't get any tattoos because they're easily identifiable.

But, I do see Sarah getting some tats from when John was born to when she got thrown into Pescadero.

I think Lena is my favorite Sarah Connor cause she was my first Sarah.

I never saw the movies before the pilot so Lena was my only exposer to Sarah Connor. Since then I have come to consider Sarah Connor one of my favorite Super Heroes based alone on Lena's performance.

So Hell yeah lena is awsome!!

They should let her show her "work safe" tats because those really wouldn't help give her away than being Sarah would.

Lena has been the bright spot in this show. Her work is always good. I think she was smart to play the character her own way. Trying to copy someone elses performance is always a bad idea.

I don't have a favorite. Linda was a 1980's star and she brings that feel to her work.
Remember the big 80's hair and disco club scene in T1? Brings back great memories for me.
Lena is contemporary. I love the old movies and the tv show the same.

Why does Loving Lena Headey mean we have to argue about who is better? I've been defending Lena as a great Sarah Connor on the fox forums from the beginning of the series.

I love Linda Hamilton and I love Lena Headey. I fell in love with the Sarah Connor character through Linda and Got to fall in Love with Sarah all over again through Lena.

Let's not let Loving Lena mean we have to dis Linda. We can love both of them just as I do.

LInda is retired from playing Sarah.

Lena Rocks hard as Sarah. Go Lena!!!

I absolutely agree. These are two fantastic actresses who each brought something wonderful and unique to the same character. There doesn't have to be a comparison. Linda Hamilton is awesome, Lena is Awesome.

Meant to add that it doesn't take away one's respect for Linda to admire Lena's portrayl and it doesn't take away rom Lena to admire Linda's.

Well said. Personally, I tend to think that they just emphasize different aspects of the character, and that the different portrayals sort of complete each other on some level.

True, even though it's technically the same person, they're at different junctions in their lives.

LindaSarah was very sure, confident, unwavering and unflinching in knowing what she had to do.

LenaSarah has been on the run for so many years now, that it's taking it's toll on her, and she's become tired, disillusioned and confused about her goals.

Both did a great job, just in different ways (I just happen to prefer Lena).

I forgot about the security risk. You're right. Once cataloged by law enforcement and/or whoever else has Sarah momentarily, tatoos become a security ID liability. She needs to remain anonymous, so once again the writers are doing it right.

Sarah's good then, but Derek is screwed. He was photographed when he was arrested back in S1.

I had no idea Lena was sporting ink. I could see some reasons that Sarah might get tattoos, she has had to fit into some odd crowds in her quest for tactical knowledge. I just don't see Lena's tats being Sarah's. Nice work tho.

I'm not sure I follow you here?

Are tattoos required for some of the odd crowds? Come to think of it, I think they might be for some of the Asian tong kind of things, not that I'm very familiar with them (only what I've seen on the History Channel).
