1. RE: What if John sent Cameron from the future to protect HER?

"...And not JUST to protect teenage John? Maybe there was a plot to kill Cameron in the future and John felt the only way to ensure her safety was to send her back to the past."ive thought about that. especially with the future scenes where derek really doesnt like her, and the clip from the preview where the sub crew says something about how she follows him around everywhere. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. And don't forget Jesse's plan to turn John against Cameron. Also, remember when Jesse said John's "brother" sent her back? Sounds like major dissension in the resistance ranks. If what Sarah's suggesting in that new promo clip is true, that future John needed her out of the way, the only reason I can think of for sending Cameron from the future is for her own good. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. "...And not JUST to protect teenage John? Maybe there was a plot to kill Cameron in the future and John felt the only way to ensure her safety was to send her back to the past."Yeah this has been mentioned and it makes sense. Also I've said this before would future John send back an attractive female terminator who looks his age just for his protection. She is there for more then just his protection. 3 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

"And don't forget Jesse's plan to turn John against Cameron. Also, remember when Jesse said John's "brother" sent her back? Sounds like major dissension in the resistance ranks."She said "Cullie's brother", not "Connor's brother". Cullie being a bubble tech. Bubble techs being people who operate the time displacement unit. As for this whole thread... It's not the first time this idea comes up. And it's an extremely valid one, I've thought about it myself a few times. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

"She said "Cullie's brother", not "Connor's brother". Cullie being a bubble tech. Bubble techs being people who operate the time displacement unit.Thanks. I'd always thought Jesse said Connor's brother. I've been waiting all this time to learn more about his mysterious brother. I don't follow fan speculation about future John all that much. This is my first time opening that door. It's just that Sarah's remark to Cameron seemed so strange. Future John wouldn't send an adversary back, and it's unlikely Cameron came back to harm them. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"...And not JUST to protect teenage John? Maybe there was a plot to kill Cameron in the future and John felt the only way to ensure her safety was to send her back to the past."That's a pretty cool theory. Even in the future I doubt Cameron has a lot of allies, and as we all know John Connor has a tendency to stand up for his robots (not wanting for Arnold's T800 to "die" in T2, not killing Cameron after she malfunctioned). So future John could've known that he could trust past John with protecting Cameron. That's be a nice twist. To support that, Cameron also taught John how to (try to) fix her hand. She didn't need to do that, as she said. Also, Cameron seems particularly focused on not only protecting John, but also hoarding T888 parts for herself. That said, there are some strong arguments that go against it--the most obvious one being Cameron giving John a kill-switch locket. So in light of that, I doubt your theory is true. An interesting thought though. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

"Okay, but who is Cully?"one of the people that died in the explosion that jesse was injured in when a terminator went bad. since his brother died at the hands of a t, the brother was willing to send jesse back to try to get john to not trust machines. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Having that kill switch doesn't negate the possibility that Future John was trying to protect Cameron. Cameron's CPU was damaged in the present after she came from the future. The locket is just insurance against her having another glitch. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
