Here is a thread for our favorite Scottish musician/terminator. Not only is she talented, but is beautiful as well! Shirley has contributed greatly to the show this season, both as an actress and musician, and is much deserving of a thread all her own! The addition of the Catherine Weaver character has added, imo, one of the most interesting storylines of the series. Still to this day her agenda is unknown, and her path is on a collision course with that of the Connors we know for sure. Cold-blooded and ruthless, yet strikingly beautiful and intriguing, Catherine Weaver has been a wonderful addition to the best show on television. I love and admire Shirley Manson for all that she's done so far. She's a great singer and a really good actress! I was so surprised! I almost didn't recognize her the first time is saw her on the show. She plays CW so well that I don't even mind if she turns out to be pure evil lol. I'm like you I was totally about Summer in the beginning, but I've always found myself more intrigued by Shirley. I think there's a darker side to her that I like more. She is, by far, the biggest star on the show. Her ovations were louder than Summer's at the convention this year. Best Garbage albums were the first two. So true. That dark side you talk about i also find quite interesting. She captivates my attention more than the other characters have recently. I don't have a favourite Garbage album, because my fave songs from them are all distributed amongst all their albums. "Only happy when it rains" "I think I'm Paranoid" "Stupid Girl" "Bleed like me" and "Why do you love me" Those the songs I listen to the most. I can't possibly choose a favourite lol. What are yours? I also like: I think I'm Paranoid, only happy when it rains, supervixen, the trick is to keep breathing, not my idea, my lover's box, and queer a lot. I guess if I had to pick a fav album I'd go with the first one, but they're all good. But by far #1 Crush is my favorite! No one really includes Shirley as one of the characters who dies this season, but it is completely possible. I personally find Shirley to be the most attractive woman on the show. Which, given the cast, is saying a lot. Everybody has different tastes, I prefer a woman of experience and a celtic beauty. I liked her from the very beginning. She has a really strong presence and plays the creepy vibe extremely well. Not to mention the hair and the legs... yeah. The biggest WTF moment for me was "This is my daughter, Savannah." I was like "A termie with a child?? Whoa, now this IS something." Another great moment: Savannah: "But your lap is cold." Catherine: "I know." All in all, a great character played brilliantly by a great woman. Though I must say, I didn't know her from before. When I checked out some Garbage songs, some sounded very familiar, but I didn't know the names "Garbage" and "Shirley Manson" before she got the role in TSCC. I'm glad I do now. As I said, she's a great woman. Very direct, totally not afraid to speak her mind. Post reply Do you find this valuable?

I think the show is much better with her in it than it would be without. What I like too is that she been given a more in depth mission other than 'Kill John Connor', I also find it odd how john henry finds it easier to interact with savannah than she does. They do her hair and clothing brilliantly in the show, deffinately want to see more of her. Post reply Do you find this valuable?

She gives the show some awesome life and IMO her T1001 is way better than Cameron. Her robot acting is classic. I enjoy her scenes whenever she is on. Good stuff all around. " Yeah I"ve noticed she actually looks like she's learning new things,, and gives a little turn of the head and an inquisitive look that's great. Cameron just has the blank stare all time, kind of reminds me of a fish. I don't think they're the same model terminator though, but I'm not an expert on the technical stuff.
