oh have you guys seen the episode of cold case that summer starred in? i thought it was so good, i totally cried. Do you find this valuable?

Yes and man tears were shed. That was an awful episode, i felt so bad for her. Do you find this valuable?

ikr, i wanted to kill that awful couple. what was WRONG with them, it totally got to me. summer was really good, she really brought the character to life (har har), she made paige really vivid and lifelike even though she was kind of a player, and it was all just so tragic. Do you find this valuable?

I'm interested to known what happened here. Sounds like a pretty intense episode. I'm sure Cold Case isn't the type of show thats spose to get the audience shedding tears... is it? Do you find this valuable?

"the only scene ive ever seen of the unit is the one where summer is making out in a car. it was a random link on here once and i clicked it. other than that, seen none of the show. i hear its good so i always say im gonna start watching it, never have."
*imagines actors see script with scene that reads actor makes out with summer scene and a lot of actors run to play the part lol Do you find this valuable?

well, i've only seen this one episode of coldcase, so i don't know what it's usually like. it may just be seeing summer get murdered, but i thought the story itself was really affecting. summer's playing this girl paige who got murdered in 1981, and her boyfriend was falsely convicted (we see her in flashbacks). there's a bunch of twists, but i don't want to spoil it for you. i thought all the actors did well. Do you find this valuable?

Cold Case is about unsolved cases....so yeah, she was in the flashbacks.

Interestingly enough, Summer was born in 1981 :) I wonder if they picked that year for that reason. (i remember that year, actually....im showing my age..lol) Do you find this valuable?

Oh my, Summer dying.... ok I can see why you would wanna cry at that.
I guess the whole story and how it came to happen was quite tragic.

I guess thats something else i'll have to track down one day. Do you find this valuable?

I haven't seen that ep of Cold Case but the bit where Summer is chased by the bad guy is on Youtube. The clip is only a few minutes long but I haven't watched it to the end... I watched the first minute or so and that was enough...

We've all seen hundreds of scenes of people being attacked and shot and hacked up etc on these crime shows, I can watch those no problem at all and even have a laugh, so you know you got it bad for Summer when you can't even watch her *pretending* to be chased and attacked (Gawd I'm pathetic... hence "Glaufag" I suppose) Do you find this valuable?

If so I love the camera shot at the end when she points the barrel directly into it.... best shot eva! Do you find this valuable?

The videos on YouTube of Summer in The Unit have been taken down due a copyright violation with 20th Century Fox. (the "kissing ones") Do you find this valuable?

It's actually not really a good thing; if I may explain: an actor's performance should stand or fall on its own merits. You should be able to separate an actor's performance from however you might feel about the actor as a person.

Is it distressing to watch Summer's character Paige Pratt being chased (and presumably attacked, I never made it that far ;-) or is it distressing to watch Summer herself being chased, even if she's only acting? I never saw that ep of Cold Case so I don't know anything about the character.

A TV or movie critic should be detached and impartial, however I'm not a critic so I feel I'm free to take whatever I want from an actor's performance. It's something I do think about though, I justify it in that I think Summer's other performances are so authentic and realistic that it's easy to blur the line between the actor and the character. Do you find this valuable?

Yeah that was an awesome scene, the director did an awesome job on that.

I liked the scene on Serenity when Malcolm sneaks up behind River when shes tapping away on the computer then all of a sudden she quickly holds her gun up to point at him lol. The way the scene is shot looked really well done. Then when he says "you better shoot me now" *River cocks back the hammer* "or not..." lol.

According to the commentary on the Blu-ray Summer had difficulty holding the gun still as it was too heavy for her to hold behind her like that. The scene where she clicks the hammer back the gun is resting on a tripod out of shot. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I love it!!!

I also love her entire performance in "Objects in Space" I remember first time I saw it I was sad cus
1. Thought she'd been absorbed by the ship,
2. Thought she was actually gonna go with that bounty hunter guy.

Then Mal came to save the day and River was saved wooo!!!
That episode was so badass, was funny but at the same time very psychological.... plus I especially loved Mal and River in space at the end "You know... you ain't quite right" "That's the popular theory" Do you find this valuable?
