Yes, and everybody knows that middle season episodes was not the best part of the show (to say the least). Maybe now it's not a good time to talk about what could be done better, but I think they made a mistake neglecting these two characters. Do you find this valuable?

"I'm talking about missing opportunities: for the first time we saw Charley in the first episode and Chola in the second. Chola lost her friends in 9th and Charley lost his whife in 12th (s02e03). After that we did not see both of them until the end of season 2. I think we could have more exciting episodes if they were in the team."
I do think however that bringing him back when they did was a good idea. Because even though it had been a long time, John lost Riley right after reuniting them with Charlie. They were both united by their losses. I could say something controversial about that, but I'm all about keeping the peace.

As for Chola, I do think that it might have been a good idea to reintroduce her sooner. I figured she was dead or something. There was no mention of her for 21 episodes, then all of the sudden she's alive. But man it was a great scene, and a great performance. Hopefully we see more of Sabrina Perez in the future. Do you find this valuable?
